Director: Ariel Vromen
Starring: Michael Shannon, Benicio Del Toro, Chris Evans, Elias Koteas
Release Date: Fall 2012
Plot: The true story of serial killer/mob hitman Richard Kuklinski. The thing that makes him stand out is that he had a wife and children (although if you read the book the family life was far from "idyllic" as the movie's official plot describes.)
Promo Trailer

Looks really good, looking forward to this, especially after reading the incredible book.

I've watched at least a couple of documentaries about him.
One, I think on HBO, was a two hour thing with over and hour of interviews with Kuklinski.
Man Shannon can deliver can't he? That guy is just amazing at his craft.

So... It's not a remake of this?

I can't believe it's taken this long to do a movie about him, since that HBO interview was aired almost 20 years ago. He was worse than a psycho, he was downright evil. If there is a Hell, he's roasting in it.

Apparently there was going to be another film with Mickey Rourke as Kuklinski, but I don't know what happened with it. IMDB doesn't have it listed.Originally Posted by Charlie Goose

Actually this is incorrect, Franco is still in the movie but in a different role. Chris Evans is the character that Franco was originally set to play.Originally Posted by Buttmunker

I hope they don't portray Kuklinski as a great guy when he's with his family. He had a quick temper, beat his wife regularly and threatened to kill her.
