Hollywood Mt. Rushmore ...who would you put on it?
So if LaLa Land were to construct its' own version of Mt. Rushmore, who would you choose to be the four?
1. Jimmy Stewart...i think he epitomizes what Hollywood and true acting was all about.
2. Robert De Niro...he maybe a Tribeca, New Yourker at heart, but he has a lot of clout in the industry and draws a lot of attention no matter where he shows up.
3. Jack Nicholson...his body of work and the fact he really is the face of Hollywood as he has his own love affair with the city.
4. Steven Spielberg...with his directing/producing/exec. producing/etc. He hardly ever falters with anything he touches.
just my opinions and i am sure there are better. what's yours??

John Wayne
Clint Eastwood
Sylvester Stallone
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Sean Connery and Bruce Willis could vie for a spot on there too.

This is very difficult. I think Spielberg and Jack Nicholson are good picks, but I'm having a hard time narrowing the other two down.
As far as actresses... Marilyn? I don't know. She's so of her time, and her time was so brief, that I question how important she is to Hollywood taking a long view. Maybe Elizabeth Taylor? How about Meryl Streep? No one epitomizes the craft of acting like Streep does.
There are also so many eras of Hollywood that it's hard to decide who's really more important? Should we go with Cecil B. DeMille, or James Cameron? Groucho Marx or Woody Allen? Errol Flynn or Shia LeBouf? HAHAHAHAHA. Orson Welles? Stanley Kubrick? David Lean?
What about producers? Or writers?

4 men:
Cary Grant,
James Stewart,
Henry Fonda,
James Cagney
4 women:
Bette Davis,
Barbara Stanwyck,
Katharine Hepburn,
Joan Crawford
If I had to pick two men and two women:
Cary Grant,
James Stewart,
Bette Davis,
Barbara Stanwyck
