Maybe The Expendables 2 is actually a code name for Fast Six.

So if Statham is now in, maybe the next movie should simply be called Furious 6.

And feature about 16 leads walking towards the camera as the title shows up in the trailer.

That aside, I actually like that title, despite (or perhaps because of) it reminding me of Kung Fu Panda.

Statham + The Rock + Diesel + Brewster + Fast/Furious world means no need for Expendables 2

...Brewster? She's attractive sure..but she's no where as attractive as the way the FF series paints her out to be. Again..she's attractive and all but she ain't the end of good looking babes. Also..she lacks screen presence. Unless she got full on naked...then could she command a able bodied screen presence. She's also boring.

What I want is to get the fucking Rock kicking ass in TE2. And JUST cuz he's in GI JOE 2 does that make it so much of a better movie.

Amen to that. And you just know "The Expendables 2" is going to be an even bigger piece of shit than the first.

About Statham joining this franchise, it just feels like a desperate attempt to do a blockbuster movie. Because none of his films have been, where he was the headliner. And I don't blame him. But he should have fired his agent a long time ago. He definitely should do more movies like "The Bank Job". And not more dreck like "The Expendables".

I am not thrilled about that as much as I like Statham. When you start adding too many additional people it has the potential for disaster and takes away from the original actors.

...like most of the actors really mattered. Most of them are horrid even for these films.

They mattered to me that is why the last couple were so enjoyable.

Fast Five proved they can juggle a large cast and still keep the story focused on Brian and Dom. I don't see adding Statham as a problem. Hell, the last one added Dwayne Johnson as a chief antagonist and managed to squeeze in a story arc for him without making the movie feel bloated.

Makes me wish Justin Lin took over the Transformers franchise.

^exactly. Fast Five was well balanced and even at two hours felt like a breeze. Also Brian and Mia are likely to take a backseat (ha!) next time out since they'll have a kid, unless they fuck with the timeline again like they did with Hahn.

So if Dwayne is back, we'll potentially have three bald leading men. Not sure why I find that interesting, but I do.

That'd be great if he did.

My problem w/ some of those actors in this franchise is that well...they're just bad at acting cool. Some work it fine but some just do not. Statham has a screen presence that some of the others sorely lack.

I think this came up in the original Fast Five thread, but seeing the original actors, namely Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, is a large part of what has made the franchise successful and a monster hit again. They most certainly matter, and i'd say they do just fine with screen presence.

I'm not talking about those guys I'm fine w/ them. Some of the others though are just boring.

Which is normal, most supporting characters aren't supposed to be as interesting as the leads. But adding more "name" guys like The Rock and Statham or bringing back Mendes is different from some of the other side characters.

For Fast Six, I'd personally:

- Keep the original gang intact (Dom, Brian and Mia).
- Bring back the 2 Fast 2 Furious crew (Roman and Tej).
- Try to figure out a way to have Han and the Tokyo Drift kids involved. Make it like Star Wars and have Han there as a ghost providing mentoring to Dom.
- Ditch the characters introduced in Fast & Furious. Tego and Rico are unneccessary comic relief when Roman and Tej are present and Gisele is fodder.
- Bring back The Rock and that woman Thor gets to fuck on a nightly basis.

Boom. $200 million plus grossing film right there.

Although she has an incredibly pretty face, she didn't really add anything to the last film. Well there was comic relief thanks to her bony ass shot but that's about it. Although I liked her flirtation with Han, that relationship is pointless. Also, it's a shame that they re-introduced her as "someone who isn't afraid to throw down" yet she didn't do jack shit during the action sequences.

No more pointless then the other chick cop they introduced These movies need some general hot girls, so i'm happy with her over say, Devon Aoki from 2 Fast.

Of course, so far I just know you don't care for Scarlett, Brewster, or Gal Gadot, so poo to you!
