You just bumped this movie from "something I want to see sometime" to "something I really, really want to see soon". I had no idea Basement Jaxx did the score for this film! That's awesome!

I was already sold on the film, but after reading that same notation, I'm there at the first showing when/if it hits Vegas.

I also felt it compared to Super 8 in many ways, not besting it nor inferior to it. Both films threw the same steak on the grill but seasoned it differently. My two favorite films I've seen this summer season.
It's only playing on 8 screens in the United States right now, but will expand into about 7 or 8 more cities on August 19th.

Fun film. Only thing I didn't care for was
Spoiler:
that there were no other incidents of anyone else running into aliens after they landed. So that Sam didn't have to explain to the cops that everything wasn't the fault of Moses and the gang. And what happened to the first black alien they came upon? Did it die upon impact? I liked that they had to rely on what they could get as far as weapons.

This was probably the most fun I've had this year at the movies... Starts off slower, but builds really well.

Saw it at midnight last night in the Cine Capri and I loved every second of it! An incredibly entertaining and funny sci-fi/action film that is just a flat-out blast. Outside of Super 8, this is the most fun I've had at the movies all year! I'm hoping more people go to see it while it's in theaters. It plays best in a movie theater.

I swore I thought I saw on a bluray website the movie is coming out in October on home video - given how limited the theatrical release is/was.

Saw it a couple weeks ago and loved it. It's everything Super 8 should have been.

Saw this movie today after reading a lot of positive reviews. All i can say is avoid this movie at all costs. Truly terrible. Feels like a poor high school project. It was authentic how they got the scumbags of London close to how they are in real life with that stupid way of talking as if everyone is black.

The plot line had some fun moments, but I had a hard time getting into it. The characters were entertaining in the same manner that Ali G is entertaining. The filmmakers made heavy-handed attempts to get us to understand and relate to the characters; however they failed, leaving us with completely unsympathetic caricatures.

One of the dumbest fucking movies I have seen this year...

Spoiler:
Of course there had to be redemption for the shithead at the end. He deserved a bullet and all the other little shitheads did too.

fireworks to attack aliens...give me a break.

this was a pretty good little horror gem. expected more humor, but happily surprised by the suspenseful nature and good acting. very nicely done.
