Very mediocre movie. The amount of suspension of disbelief required to enjoy it was a little too much for my taste.

The action was good. Not as good as Taken, as it really only had a small handful of action sequences. And some of it was a bit silly. In Colombia, you don't get parkour training when you are 8.
Otherwise, really enjoyable and far better than the usual produced-by-Besson fare.

looks like per bluray.com when this is released on video, we will have an Unrated version lasting approx 3 minutes longer, i'm sure most all of them small violence cuts

I redboxed this last night.
It all seemed familiar (since it was a Besson-touched). I agree with almost everything said here. The action scenes were good (not great), the story was okay (but tired), and the story development was enough (but still shallow).
It was good once.

I also redboxed it and it was ok. I know one thing, I'm sooo tired of the Colombian Drug Lord characters in films. They're almost as tired and cartoony as the Italian Mafia in films.

I watched this last night - It was really entertaining - not sure where all of the hate is coming from. I though the scenarios were well thought out.

I do agree with this too though.....having never been to Colombia, I wouldn't blame anyone who thought all of its citizens had long curly hair and five o'clock shadows.

I watched this last night. I thought it was pretty good. It was definitely worth the $3.96 I paid to get it on Blu.
