However, a PG-13 Punisher will suck balls, which is why the best thing would be to license him out to a premium cable network and let them do a series based on Punisher Max.
Actually the November Marvel solicitations were released today, and I noticed on there that Marvel is going to be doing a comic book based on Dexter. I wonder what kind of deal they worked out with Showtime for that? I doubt it happened, but I would love it if that means Showtime got a deal for a Punisher series.

All Marvel wanted for in order to grant an extension was the rights to Silver Surfer and Galactus.
Fox is stupid; now they just lost at the very least Daredevil, Elektra, Bullseye, and Kingpin.

They technically still have Electra & the Hand it turns out. Not that they'll do anything with it I imagine... but I'm thinking they'll hold it out of spite or to ransom it off for a early release.

wait what? How? Elektra and The Hand come w/ the DD property. They were developed in the comic for it. I can understand Kingpin being a DD property (w/ how it's not a Spidey property) just cuz of it's heavy use of him and however that legally works w/ it but how the hell does The Hand and Elektra NOT go w/ DD?

Well doesn't Wolverine belong to the X franchise still? I don't see how if that's the case w/ Elektra it wouldn't be the same for Wolverine. Aside from the team factor but still...same case almost.

The Elektra stuff isn't confirmed beyond Variety saying it and I doubt that's true because Garner was in both films so it's the same as the first Wolverine spinoff.
Avi Arad said that Sony actually let Fox borrow the Kingpin so apparently he's not in this deal.

I would tend to agree it should be the same, I was just postulating. Unless they worked out some kind of new, seperate deal when they decided to go ahead with Elektra.

Ninja clans like the Hand are vague enough to where you could probably just change the name and be okay. Like how Nolan's changed the League of Assassins (as its called in the comics) into the League of Shadows. They are very similar yet also different.
Elektra isn't vague and so you couldn't do that with her, and so losing her would be a big loss. Kingpin as well. Although Kingpin really only matters for the Born Again storyarc, and they could probably just create another mob boss for that.

Re: Daredevil 2 (Carnahan?) - News, Rumors, Cast
There was this whole kerfuffle with Fox's attempt to make another Daredevil movie. You'll remember that Joe Carnahan was on it, and he had this very specific concept of what to do with the reboot and he released his 'proof of concept' trailers online and yadda yadda. But there was, to the layman, some confusion - the byzantine details of the licensing of Marvel characters never made a ton of sense to us, and while it seemed like Fox's rights to Daredevil had lapsed, nobody issued a press release or anything, so it was anybody's guess.
Not anymore! At the press conference for Iron Man 3 Kevin Feige, chief honcho banana of Marvel Studios, made it clear: Daredevil is back in the fold. His quote when asked if reports that rights to Dardevil had reverted to Marvel were correct was:
"Yes."
I wasn't at the press conference, but man, you gotta ask a follow-up on one like that. Just yell out the follow-up. And that follow-up has to be, 'What are your plans for Daredevil now that he's back in your arsenal?"
Realistically, Marvel probably has no plans. I spoke with Feige yesterday and the Marvel dance card is full through 2016. If the Agents of SHIELD show works, it's not impossible that Daredevil could get his own TV series - he's perfectly TV level - but I suspect that he'll be sort of stuck in limbo. Maybe somebody will name drop Matt Murdock as a lawyer in The Avengers 2, but I wouldn't expect to see ol' Hornhead showing up anytime soon.

I've heard that FOX may still have the movie rights to Elektra. I really hope someone from Marvel confirms or denies this ASAP.

...how would that be possible? The character spawned out of the DD comics. Unless her association with Wolverine has made her an X property.
