LMAO @ Senator Clay Davis doing an Omar impression and referencing "The Wire." Awesome.

Saw this last week. Really funny and John C. Reilly steals the show. It's still an indie comedy, so don't expect The Hangover.

83% on RT so far. From skimming a few of the reviews, it sounds like it is a little more sweet and sentimental and less raucous than the trailer makes it look.

I barely recognize Anne Heche with her hair like that. Sigourney Weaver is in the film somewhere as well

Just got back from seeing it. Went in knowing almost nothing about it and was pleasantly surprised. John C Reilly is such a blast to watch and was paired well with Ed Helms. Some big laughs throughout and overall, a sweet film, although there's a lot of dark humor mixed in as well. I think I saw Alexander Payne's name somewhere in the credits as a producer, and it is definitely reminiscent of some of his work.

I saw it as part of Sundance USA and talked to Arteta briefly, who had funny comments about the Youth in Revolt marketing. Good, but not great, IMO; although the whole idea of the film seems to be about the characters grandly embracing mediocrity, there's a limit to how much the film itself should do that.

Trailer looks good, but please...tell me Ed Helms doesn't sing in this one.

Loved it!!!

Great Stuff - Helms was excellent, and Clay Davis as Omar - Everyone appreciated that Nugget.

My girl and I saw it yesterday. Pretty good, more humorous than laugh-out-loud funny. Best scenes were at the house party. I think we were the only people in the audience who had seen The Wire since we were the only one to laugh at those references. Indeed.

Re: Cedar Rapids (Ed Helms, John C. Reilly) Trailer

This is a pretty good little film. It's in the vein of "Adventureland" and another Reilly film "Cyrus", so if you like those you'll probably like this as well. From an outside perspective it looks like a full blown comedy, but it's more of a drama with comedic moments sprinkled throughout.

I enjoyed it, I disagree about the association with Cyrus which I thought was utterly boring -- this was far more enjoyable and funny. Recommended, very enjoyable little flick.

Cyrus and Cedar Rapids are both dramedies, even if you didn't like the humor in Cyrus.

Re: Cedar Rapids (Ed Helms, John C. Reilly) Trailer

I suppose, though CR felt more straight up comedy than dramedy.

Yup, came out on the 21st.

I liked this one quite a bit. Much better than I was expecting it to be.

Not sure if I'd agree with this.

Re: Cedar Rapids (Ed Helms, John C. Reilly) Trailer

Yeah I definitely wouldn't.

Spoiler:
guy lives in a bubble, expands his horizons and starts his own insurance company. It actually supports getting through the mediocrity.
