I don't know who this guy is, but he's all over the place.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Takers and From Paris with Love? Really?
Life During Wartime was pretty bad... and I liked Happiness.
The Girl on the Train is a pleasant surprise. One of the better films I've seen in the last year.
I'm looking forward to watching Another Year and Inspector Bellamy.

Given that Scott Pilgrim is actually generally liked by the internet fanboys, i'm surprised he put it at no. 1

puzzling. even though i wasn't big on Wild Grass despite its stunning visuals, i thought it was critically acclaimed? which means... why the fuck did it make Armand White's top 10 list?!

I saw Scott Pilgrim vs. the World last week and was looking forward to it because of all the great reviews and boy was I disappointed. Scott Pilgrim was just dumb. I know it was going for the cooler trendy type feel but in my opinion failed.

I thought the movie was great myself, but it's definitely not for everybody.

Here's hoping he puts out one of his annual "Better Than" lists - those are always a lot of fun.
Anyways, this is actually a pretty good list, and surprisingly uncontroversial (excepting the last two, of course.)
"Vincere" really is an incredible film (though its "operatic" nature may make it off-putting for some), and, as a big fan of Mike Leigh, "Another Year" has been one of my most anticipated films for quite a while.
