The original was no great shakes either.

I'm a fan of Jonze's films and didn't realize he was involved with Jackass. Nor did I realize he was involved with starting a skateboard magazine and what not... I just happen to love all three of his directorial films and his music videos and didn't make the connection. I'm not a fan of Jackass so it took me a bit by surprise that someone I consider a highly intelligent film-maker would be involved. Apparently there is severely immature side to him I was not aware of.

If you ever heard an interview with him, there would be no question as to his "immaturity", as he's not the most eloquent person - I'd say even Knoxville is better spoken than Jonze. Spike's depth comes through with his films, and not much else.

So people can't be intelligent but also like the kind of absurd fun that Jackass provides?

I don't understand this thread title. Hugh Jackman wasn't in any of these movies!
