You wouldn't think a film based on this series would be that hard to get going. It's pretty much just a modern day Indiana Jones story and there's four games that could be used for inspiration for the story. Honestly I'd see it if it were made but at this point I don't care very much anymore if it ever comes out.

This thread was started in 2010.We'll see a film in 2025 at the very least at the rate they're going. So I have no doubt they'll change the story a few more times before they decide to film something.

That.....is an odd choice. I don't get it. I would understand starting with a young Drake a'la Casino Royale Bond Reboot, but a kid Drake? That is not the way I would go at all. No romance with Elena, no network of contacts. There's a reason that Young Drake was less than a quarter of Uncharted 3 and not the whole game. 
So they'll be looking for a Sully in his late 40s or early 50s.

I can see the point if they're looking for a franchise, but I'm not interested in a young Drake. I recall the 3rd game's portions revolving around the kid, and it was ok but not all that intriguing. I just started the 4th game yesterday, and it starts out with the kid again. I'm just looking forward to getting regular Drake back in action.

Our source told us that Sony Pictures was eyeing none other than Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston for a large supporting role in the upcoming adaptation. Unfortunately, we couldn’t confirm with certainty what role that Cranston is up for, but it’s hard to imagine him as anyone other than the cantankerous, yet lovable, Sullivan. However, it’s presumably not out of the realm of possibility – but very hard to envision – that it could be for a villain role.
