Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (12 + 1)

Using up my question: Does this movie have one major thing in common with the movie I guessed earlier? I have to keep the question vague so as not to tip off the others.

Not unless I'm missing something, although it's been a while since I've seen W&I. The two movies are very different in tone and have different settings, countries of origin, and directors (actually IMDB lists them as the same country of origin, so I'm wrong there). This may be a tip-off:

Thanks, that covers it (I thought it might be How to Get Ahead in Advertising). Back to the grind, as I'm not seeing anything I recognize so far.

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (12 + 1)

That was not the title character in the previous shot, although it would make sense to assume so. This is also not the title character:

That had me confused until you edited it, because Bonio is a British brand and the new shot with "dial 999 in an emergency" confirms the locale.

I flunked geography. This movie spawned a not very good sequel.

I'm fairly certain it's Gregory's Girl, though I don't recall any of those shots. It has been a number of years since I saw the movie, though.

In order: meeting place, runaway electric toothbrush, "flesh tone experiment" (naked nurse just out of sight), morning jog, bait and switch, "numbers make the world go around."

I'll put something up tomorrow, however if anyone wishes to take the turn, be my guest. Provisional wildcard is on the table.

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (12 + 1)

Nope. This movie, its director, an actress, and the screenplay won multiple awards at small film festivals.

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (12 + 1)

Sorry, no.

Apart from a couple of shorts at the beginning of his career, the director of this feature film has been involved exclusively in TV work, before and since this work.

I have edited this post to add clarity to the clue.

The first role of this actor (whose character is also seen being manually pleasured in the last post) was a one-episode appearance on one of the most popular cop shows of the '80s. He has since racked up over 60 acting credits and 3 directing credits.

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot (12 + 1)

Wrong decade.

This character is something of a red herring for part of the picture. The actor, who has over 80 credits, most of them in television, started his career with a small role in a popular '80s movie franchise. More recently he had parts in a blockbuster musical and two remakes.

The Dark Hours?

Wild card if that's correct.

This shot would have distinguished those who have seen it from those who haven't. Not for the squeamish:
