Platoon is his best, probably my favorite war movie ever.

JFK. Despite my firm conviction that Lee Harvey Oswald killed John F Kennedy and did it entirely alone, I think JFK is great, grand, epic cinema.

NBK is a strong but still distant second.

I think Platoon is a good film but overrated.

JFK.

Platoon is a close second.

Platoon just beats out Midnight Express

I've seen so few of his..but NBK for me.

Re: Oliver Stone

Favorite: Without a doubt, the extended cut of Nixon. It has some great acting from Hopkins, an amazingly deep cast, awesome cinematography, and John Williams last best score(to the point that he apparently re-used it as part of the Phantom Menace score).

I will say that if I was going for his best or most defining, I'd agree with Platoon or JFK.

Wall Street. One of those movies I always find myself watching whenever I come across it while flipping around.

I don't really think it's surprising.

It's probably his most acclaimed film, an Oscar winner, very successful financially and popular with audiences.

I don't think I've seen enough Stone films to make a choice. Haven't really loved any of the few of his I've seen, so I don't go out of my way to watch them. I guess I liked Heaven and Earth. Just picked up the BD of NBK though, will check it out later this year.
