Nobody cares to mention his role as Sully in Commando? He should have died last, damnit. Man was cheated.

Carl Franklin directing 'One False Move'. I saw that modern crime masterpiece and thought 'wow, this guy is going to do great things'.
He did do 'One True Thing' too, a couple of Denzel movies, but he never took off as a director of note. And nothing matched 'One False Move'. The rest of his career is bit parts on TV shows, directing a few TV shows, etc. Last I heard of him was his directing one episode of HBO's 'The Pacific'.
But talk about brilliant, OFM totally qualifies.

David Patrick Kelly will always be Jerry Horne from Twin Peaks to me. Wish he'd work with Lynch again.

This is an odd choice. He plays pretty much the same character in every film, so I'm thinking it wasn't him that was good in The Fifth Element, it was Besson choosing well. He is no different in this film than he was in Friday or the Rush Hour films.

You could pretty much say the same thing about Lou Gossett, Jr. in An Officer and a Gentleman.
