The Killer Elite (2011) - Statham, De Niro
Not many details on this yet, but it sounds like it could be fun. I think it's based on a book as well as a remake.
"A former Navy Seal is forced out of retirement in order to save his friend."
Jason Statham
Robert De Niro
Clive Owen
Yvonne Strahovski
Dominic Purcell
Grant Bowler
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1448755/
Plus Yvonne is an added bonus!

BTW, you should see the Peckinpah film. Not one of his best, but a fun film nonetheless and a chance to see Duvall and Caan team up for their 4th time--each time under the guidance of a great director (COUNTDOWN, 1968, Altman; THE RAIN PEOPLE, 1969, Coppola; THE GODFATHER, 1972, Coppola).

Per IMDB, it's not a remake of the Peckinpah film (1975) with Robert Duvall and James Caan, which was based on a novel by Robert Rostand. This new one's based on a different novel with a different original title. If they don't change the title they're going to confuse a lot of old-school Peckinpah fans who, unlike me, didn't bother to check the source first.

Yeah, I thought the same thing as well; maybe if the keep the title we can get a blu-ray of the original? It may not be his "best" but it's an awesome movie. kung-fu, car-chases, government espionage, ninjas, machine guns, hot chicks... what more could you want?

All it needs is Megan Fox wearing a Pokemon shirt through the whole thing and Ash here will bust a nut as they say.
