the ULTIMATE directed movie

this was somewhat inspired by the Inception thread, talking about a very good movie yet with some lackluster action pieces.

OK, so, let's say you were a producer of a movie that contained scenes of suspense, action, comedy, romance, noir, sports, thriller, horror, and drama all wrapped up into one and you were able to seemlessly employ a different director to handle each component. Budget is not an issue. Who would you pick for each "genre", dead or alive, and why?

Re: the ULTIMATE directed movie

Victor Fleming, Michael Curtiz, and William Keighley.

It worked on some of the greatest movies ever made.

Are you talking live directors or directors from any time period?

If it's currently live directors I'd choose:

Takashi Miike.

Living or dead.

But you're not getting it.

What director would you have direct the action part of the movie, who would direct the comedy part, who would direct the horror part, etc, etc, etc....

in other words, what director do you like best/does the best job for each particular genre.

Romero hasn't lived up to what he's remembered for at all. I hope he quits directing. I loved DoTD, Day had great FX but....crap film. NoTLD was good. LoTD was horrible. etc etc.
