It was directed by a guy named Nimrod. What did you really expect from it?

More Kontroll (or even Vacancy) and less boring pile of shit, for starters. Antal is usually pretty good at making non-stories entertaining, this was a huge disappointment.

5 stars? Really.
Says the only person that gave it 1 1/2 stars

The one of his films I've seen (have yet to feel inspired to rent Predators) was Armored and that was surprisingly entertaining.

I liked Armored a lot. An interesting take on a heist picture. Kind of unexpectedly good.

I enjoyed the movie. We had a nice mix of characters and good action. My only complaints are the lighting made it hard to follow the action sometimes (like the convict stealing a vest which let him survive that first blast spot) and the needless "super predator" idea.

This movie gets a bad rap. I haven’t seen Prey yet but I find this to be the best of the first 3 sequels. It’s a solid piece of entertainment that’s worth revisiting.

I dunno why I've never watched this one. I think it's on Hulu. If so, I should give it a shot finally.

Prey is fantastic - it's the best Predator movie after the first, IMHO.

I just saw this again and it really isn’t that bad. I liked it pretty well when I saw in theaters and still do. It’s funny how 2 Oscar winners are in this. Before and after, of course.

Re: Predators (Antal, 2010) — The Reviews Thread

My biggest problem with it is no one can ever just make a movie anymore that tells a complete story. Instead, it always has to be the first part of a trilogy so when it underperforms, you're left hanging at the end without a resolution. If it was complete, I would've watched it many, many more times.

In a way, though, it does work as a complete story. They're just kind of screwed at the end. No happy final resolution ending. They're just stuck there

"Prey" was the best of the sequels.

Debatable. Prey was frankly overrated.

I can agree with that. But only because I've never seen Predators.

I'd rank Predators fourth.

I think Prey was actually underrated - I never expected a Hulu original movie to be the best Predator movie since Predator.

That sentiment is actually very common. So it's certainly not underrated. And, frankly, despite going in expecting to love it, I found it underwhelming. But that's just my opinion, and it means diddly–squat to anyone other than myself (as it should be).
