Help me name this movie....

OK..I saw this in the early 90s, I know for sure. The scene I'm about to describe has never left my mind cuz of how visually interesting it was to me.

All I remember this specific scene cuz it's all I saw and then I either switched the channel or something else.

BUT

There's a guy in a full black and white checkered pattern body suit (face too) in a total white room. BUT the room's floor is w/ the same pattern as his suit. A camera moves side to side. The guy is on the floor moving side to side when the camera pans to one end. He's positioning his body exactly where the squares are (how convenient that his suit is JUST right for him to do that..)I remember a shot from the cam's view point and you could barely tell that the guy was on the room's floor. I don't remember what his objective was but I think he passed the camera and went to the other door and did something. And for some reason...I think he stole something.

This may or may not have actually be in this film: For some reason again, I think after he gets teh item he gets into a (I'm probably VERY WRONG) French army revolutionary type of suit and escapes covering his face and explosions are in the sky and people w/ the same army suit pass him as well..and yeah. It's been in my mind for too long. I need to know wtf it was.

Does that film have a scene like that? I don't remember Toys that well...it's been years.

I haven't seen it in years either...but I remember LL Cool J's character was always wearing outfits that would exactly match the environment...and he was some sort of military character. Plus, I remember that movie having really neat art design. By the end, they were trying to stop the bad guy who'd taken over the toy factory, so it's possible his character could have been doing something like what you described. Plus, it fits the release timeframe.

But, of course, I could be totally wrong.

Now I'm just as curious as you.

And I kind of want to watch "Toys" again.

^ I think you may have nailed it Mazje. It's as good a guess as any.

I've never seen Toys, and I'm completely stumped.

I do recall seeing some clips of LL Cool J's character somewhere, sometime and this vaguely makes sense.

Haha. I like how NOBODY (myself included) has seen/remembered Toys in a long while. Usually, after a few days, someone out there has the answer.

the last time I saw Toys was in a Circuit City in the early 90s. I don't think it is Toys but...I need to see Toys cuz my memory of it is very very vague.

Re: Help me name this movie....

I figure this can be a generic "help me name this movie" thread. Anyway,

What is the name of a movie, I think international, possibly about a resistance movement (there are guns, kind of gangster era), whose title is the name of the main two characters: "__ & __". Something like "Flash and Cinder". (No, not Bonnie and Clyde!) Thank you.

Frank Zappa's 200 Motels has a scene where Flo and Eddie are tripping on LSD wearing black and white checked suits. They go into a room that is black and white checked. All you can see are their heads and hands.

My wife calls me The Cinemaster™.

In this case though, it's because my Google Fu is strong.
