I just put my review in the queue. I'm sure it will be up before the day is out.

Mr. T is not a fan;

And after seeing a preview of the film, he admits he's shocked with how graphic it is.

Mr. T says, "People die in the film and there's plenty of sex but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore.

"It was too graphic for me. I've no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it's nothing like the show we turned out every week."

Ebert gave it 1 1/2 stars, somehow I'm not surprised.

I wonder when I'm finally going to see my first summer movie; certainly not this.

That's a half star better than his review of Kick-Ass.

I enjoyed the heck out of Kick-Ass. I don't think The A-Team will be nearly as comparable, but who knows.

Ebert also liked The Losers, which he gave ***1/2. I didn't like The Losers. It may be sort of one-or-the-other.

Ebert calls the film "Queasy-Cam anarchy." That statement alone makes me not want to see it. I can't stand quick flash cut action scenes, which is why I love the first Bourne film so much better than the last two films in the trilogy.

I like The Losers and Kick-Ass. What does that mean for me

Hollywoodnews.com: So did Mr. T diss the new “A-Team” or not?

It has become a “did he” or “didn’t he” debate in the wake of an article, credited to WENN, claiming that the original B.A. Baracus dismissed the big-budget remake (in theaters tomorrow) as too violent and way too sexual. The later claim makes no sense. We’ve seen the “A-Team” remake, and there is NO sex in the film, just some suggestive dialog between Bradley Cooper and Jessica Biel. As for the violence, yes it is more extreme than the TV show, where precious few villains actually died. Heck, it was network television in the 1980s. Carnage was not commonplace.

But now reps for Mr. T are denying that he has said a single thing about the new film, and actually claims that he has not seen the film, so would be unable to comment.

“Mr. T has not seen the film and he did not make the comments attributed to him in several Internet articles,” said the actor’s lawyers, in a prepared statement. “Mr. T appreciates (the) request for an interview, but at this time, particularly because he has not seen the film, he is not giving interviews on it.”

Wait, Mr. T has attorneys?

Needless to say, Mr. T’s endorsement isn’t going to help or hurt “The A-Team.” It is strange that two of the remaining three original A-Team members appear for cameos (George Peppard, who played Hannibal in the show, died in 1994), while Mr. T does not.

Maybe he’s saving his strength for a “Rocky III” remake, or a Clubber Lang spin-off film. Now THAT I’d pay big money to see.

A maw will open in the screen, and it will be like the end of 2001.

but...if it's a good movie..it's a good movie, right? I'm just saying...I've yet to see it.

I saw it today and it's to me the first great movie of this lackluster summer. The cast is great and reminds me of the cast of Star Trek. They emulated elements of the original cast (subtle gestures, general personas, etc.) but made each role their own. It has the trademark humour but with loads of kick-ass action. Yes, there's shakey cam shots but it's coherent and machine-gun edits are mostly absent.

It was like watching a bigger and somewhat grown-up version of the series. It's a day one BD purchase for me.

Oh and though Dwight Schulz is credited and I was actively searching for him in the German hospital, I didn't spot him. :(

Phew. I didn't like the first fight with Rampage, but the rest didn't set off my "I hate shaky-cam"-o-meter. The complaints today were kinda common so I started to worry I'd just blinded myself to it or something.

IMDB also lists Dirk Benedict in this (as some kinda prisoner). Yeah, I know...it's IMDB, but I'd still be curious to know if he's actually spotted.

It's off putting at first but I quickly got into the fight and was never lost. Also, it fits with the motif of not showing the main characters until the end of their respective intro sequences.

The only part that could have been confusing was when B.A. fought a goon during the
Spoiler:
convoy assault
but that bullet was dodged by the
Spoiler:
constant intercutting to Hannibal's mission briefing.

My only disappointment is that they
Spoiler:
didn't rebuild B.A's van.
:(

I may have to pass on this one, too. The older I get the more susceptible I've become to motion sickness. Miami Vice made me sick to my stomach, but until reading this I was interested in seeing it (A-Team).

I dunno. I don't think it's that shaky really. But I might see it a second time over the weekend and re-assess that particular factor.

Isn't she promoted to general and then demoted? I knew that wasn't totally right but I'm no military man, so...

No. She starts out in the film as a captain and then demoted to lieutenant.
Spoiler:
At the end her rank of captain is reinstated.
She's too young to be a general.

Maybe in the Rebel Alliance she'd already have that rank. They just gave it away. ;)

However your mistake is probably born of early press that reported her character was to be a general.
