I liked Clerks 2 a lot. In fact, I find it more re-watchable than the original. At least, for a sequel, it had a story to tell AND was not a rehash of Clerks, only more "outrageous" as sequels sometimes get.

I like Kevin Smith... but I'd argue that all evidence so far has been contrary to this statement.

Nice to see all the love for Clerks II Its the rare sequel that compliments the original, and develops the characters to a satifying conclusion

I'd have to agree. He's one of those directors who needs to work strictly within the confines he created for himself. Stepping outside that bubble has produced mediocre (at best) results.

Of course, he'll never be an A-list director doing big-budget fare anyways. He'll remain relegated to pumping out low-budget films which make under $30m, unless he directs someone else's script, then the movie will make under $40m.

I'm honestly shocked that multiple people like Clerks 2 more than the original.

I'm a fan of every other things Smith has done, consider Clerks and Chasing Amy to be among my favorite films, but find Clerks 2 completely moronic and unwatchable.

You're insane. Clerks:TAS is a steaming pile of shit. The funniest part of the DVD is when Smith makes fun of Family Guy, which does the exact same screw-plot-and-characters-let's-just-have-a-ton-of-throw-away-gags crap as Smith did with the cartoon.

Clerks
The Animated Series
Clerks 2

ALL excellent. Clerks 2 is a very good sequal.

There needs to be a third one because we need to find out if Randel every brought back porch monkey.

I wonder if there'll be a "Tell Em, Steve-Dave" movie, since these poor guys always get cut out of Kevin Smith films (they only appear in deleted scenes) - but these guys are truly funny!

I came in to post these exact sediments.

Clerks 2 was awful.
