Actually not a bad list. He seems to know his stuff. Still, there are quite a few major ones missing.

"American History X" is disturbing? Come ON!

Seen 74 of these, plus the short version of Dumplings. Seen bits and pieces of Schindler's List, never the whole thing.

it's good to see some obscure (some unreleased) titles worthy of the list like Twentynine Palms, The Reflecting Skin (one of my all-time favorites) and Claire Denis' 'Trouble Every Day'... each left unimaginable effects on the way i look at disturbing cinema.
i've never seen A Zed and Two Noughts, but i really thought Peter Greenaway's 'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover should've made the list. Another favorite, i found it to be downright twisted.
here's what i think is missing:
1900
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover
The Baby From Macon
In A Glass Cage
The Day of the Locust
Tourist Trap
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Turkish Delight
Seven
Cruising
Bug
Blue Velvet
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Walkabout
Don't Look Now
Week End
Possession
On A Silver Globe

Don't Go in the House is similiar Maniac but not as explicit in the gore, however there is a burning that is downight nasty and hard to watch. Forced Entry with Harry Reams, while amatuerish in performance and film technique plays out like Man Bites Dog and features an explicit rape/stabbing that left me feeling sick to my stomach. Fight for Your Life is also vile and extremely racist.
Breillat's Anatomy of Hell may be exteme but her other film Romance is superior IMO
if you were to include one anime title that'd have to be Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend

82! I'd say I'm the winner (so far) ... but that admission probably makes me a big loser instead I suppose there's something about hearing a movie is supposed to be disturbing that makes me want to check it out and see for myself (even though I often end up not liking the movie).
I'll have to check out the link (I only went by the list posted here). It's an eclectic mix of movies, though I don't agree with some of the inclusions and omissions. Of my 18 unseens, there are some on my to-see list that I know I'll get around to eventually (like Anti-Christ). And a few movies I know about but have no interest in seeing (Philosophy of a Knife, Murder-Set-Pieces, Slaughtered Vomit Dolls). I think I've had my fill of pseudo-snuff movies to last a lifetime.

Good call on "In a Glass Cage" needing to be on that list. Not only should it be there, but it's top ten for sure. An excellently made movie in addition to being disturbing.
I'd probably swap out Lynch's "Inland Empire" for "Lost Highway" (which was much creepier and disturbing IMO). And I think Gregg Araki's "Mysterious Skin" belongs on the list (taking off Araki's "Nowhere"). And if you're going to have an example of schlocky gory 70s grindhouse fare, I think "Bloodsucking Freaks" belongs on the list (instead of "Zombie Holocaust").
