DVDTalk Draft Round 1 (MountainBiker vs sauce07)
Hello voter! Please vote for the team of characters that you like better. It's all personal preference. If one character on the list ruins a team for you and you select the other team based on that alone, so be it (although it would be preferred that you look at the team as a whole
)
We would love to hear feedback and why you chose one team over another. Feel free to comment, ask questions, criticize, etc.

Some tough calls there, but I ended up going with Mountain Biker for getting the best Kurt Russell character, Venkman, and KHAAAAAAN!

Mountain Biker
1. The Terminator + (great as a villain or a hero)
2. Sam Quint + (best character of the film)
3. Jack Torrance + (not a "dull boy" at all)
4. Hans Gruber + (a great hero requires a great villain)
5. Dr. Peter Venkman + (classic Murray)
6. Neal Page + (a surprising pick, but a character I enjoyed)
7. Jack Burton - (Snake Plissken knock-off)
8. Clarice Starling + (somewhat dilluted by the sequels)
9. Neil McCauley + (perhaps De Niro's last great performance)
10. Khan Noonien Singh + (love this guy)
Total Pluses: 9
sauce07
1. Ripley + (another character that got weak in the sequels)
2. Tony "Iron Man" Stark + (picked too early, but still a good character)
3. John Malkovich - (liked the movie, didn't think this was a great "character")
4. Kenny "Pig Vomit" Rushton + (wonderful)
5. Col. Hans Landa + (Oscar was well deserved)
6. Gordon Gekko + (this pick, for lack of a better word, is good)
7. Major T. J. "King" Kong + (Yeeeeeee-haw!)
8. The Grim Reaper, a.k.a. Death + (lots of interesting interpretations to choose from)
9. Saddam Hussein + (hilarious)
10. Casey Ryback - (you torpedoed your list with this baffling pick)
Total Pluses: 9
Since it's a tie, I give the win to Mountain Biker for having at least one female character.

Not sure how this works with the actors who played them, but don't forget (or maybe some want to?) Julianne Moore also played Clarice Starling...
Anyway, went with MountainBiker

Really tough choice, but right now I just have to go with Stark Industries. Sorry Mountain Biker. Your list is great!

I have less of a problem with Boogie Nights being the greatest movie of all time than Khan ruining Star Trek. Now that's ridiculous.
