I watched TRON tonight, and I saw...

Early on in the movie, a program named CROM gets enslaved by the MCP and is ushered by the faceless red guards off to his cell, where he meets ROM and later TRON himself. He was pudgy and had what sounded like a Jersey accent, but there was something about his face and mannerism that looked really really familiar.

I thought...
Spoiler:
"Hey!? That looks like Peter Jurasik."
Spoiler:
Jurasik portrayed Londo Mollari in Babylon 5, co-staring with Bruce Boxleightner, who of course played Tron in this movie.

What do you think? Same actor or not?
Spoiler:
It is! That just made my day, recognizing Jurasik looking and sounding so very much unlike how I know him.

I'll watch it when it hits Blu. I have a bad taste in my mouth from being blinded by the damn fluorescent lights in it when it was on TV as a kid . It just annoyed me. It was just a crappy transfer on TV from what I saw probably so...until I get 1080p of Tron will I watch it again.

I've got the Disney 20th Anniversary DVD. Don't know if there was an earlier even crappier transfer, or if this one was the definitive "crappy" transfer.

They've showed it a couple of times on the HDNet Movie channel. It looked awesome!

BTW kenbuzz, the program he met was named RAM not ROM.

Apparently my memory for faces from 5-10 years ago is better than my memory for names from 5-10 hours ago.

Re: I watched TRON tonight, and I saw...

I noticed Peter Jurasik the last time I watched Tron as well. He was great on Babylon 5, and it's kind of interesting that two major actors from B5 were both in Tron (Boxleitner and Jurasik).

I loved the original and can't wait to see the new sequel coming out this year. The trailer looks so awesome.

No offense, but every time you post I swear it's like a generated spam thing. The randomness of the post added w/ whatever you're saying. I'm just saying. I appreciate your enthusiasm though.

Re: I watched TRON tonight, and I saw...

Why is Londo's appearance in TRON (which, let's face it, has been well discussed in B5 fandom, which is Nerd Central anyhow) in spoiler tags? Is anyone's TRON-watching experience going to be ruined by it?

Oh, and
Spoiler:
G'Kar was the one-armed man from Harrison Ford's THE FUGITIVE movie.
