Real Genius remake --> the raping of childhood continues.

Lazy studios/marketers think half their work is done for them is there's already some sort of built-in brand recognition (see "Battleshit") with a property.
Since they don't see movie as art that can remain in the public consciousness for years, but instead as products with zero shelf-life, sinking millions on a property with some sort of recognition (how ever lame), is an easier sell than something fresh and brand new.
This has been said before, but in this climate, a movie like Star Wars or even Matrix can never be made.

All of my filth is arranged in alphabetical order. This, for example is under "H" for "toy"
It's a penis stretcher.

"You're all just a bunch of degenerates!"
"We are? What about that time we found you naked with that bowl of Jell-o"
"Did NOT!"
"It's true"
"I was hot and I as hungry!"

Look on the bright side: one good thing that could come out of this (much like whenever a remake comes out) is a possible new special edition DVD/BluRay of the original...

"Have you ever seen a body like this before in your life?"
"She happens to be my daughter."
"Oh. Then I guess you have."

The only way I would consider going anywhere near this was if they got Val Kilmer to play Lazlo. And even then, I still probably wouldn't watch it.

If you're in your 20's, back off. She's too old for you. Leave her to me.

Whatever happened to that "Revenge of the Nerds" remake that was supposed to be out last year?
They should release a movie of one guy on camera acting out an entire well-known movie. That'd be kewl.

From comingsoon.net
Warner Bros. Pictures has hired Max Borenstein to write a new draft of the screenplay for The Man From U.N.C.L.E., an adaptation of the 1960s TV show.
David Dobkin is attached to direct the project, which will be produced by John Davis and Jeff Kleeman.

A remake of the original Revenge of the Nerds was slated for release in 2007; however, the project was canceled in 2006 after two weeks of filming. The cast included Adam Brody (who also co-produced), Dan Byrd, Katie Cassidy, Kristin Cavallari, Jenna Dewan, Chris Marquette, Ryan Pinkston, Efren Ramirez, and Nick Zano. [...] Filming was originally scheduled to take place at Emory College but university officials changed their minds after reading the script. A story by the Chicago Tribune described the film as too "raunchy" for the campus administration.
In November 2006, the film was shelved by Fox Atomic. Producers found it difficult to shoot on the smaller Agnes Scott campus, and studio head Peter Rice was disappointed with the dailies. The remake would have the first project for the newly created Fox Atomic. Twentieth Century Fox personnel have stated that it's highly unlikely that a remake will be picked up in the future.

^ I thought Fox Atomic was finished. Was Revenge of the Nerds the production that put the final nail in the coffin?

Turistas
The Hills Have Eyes 2
28 Weeks Later
The Comebacks
The remainder of their titles split distribution between Fox and Fox Searchlight...
The Rocker
12 Rounds
Miss March
I Love You Beth Cooper
Post Grad
Jennifer's Body
28 Weeks Later is the only tolerable film on that list and I only own Miss March with the hopes that TWUK can get another film deal, hopefully with their own material.

So far, scott1598's childhood butthole has not been continued to be raped. The rapists have taken a break...for now.
