Re: DVDTalk draft game

Here is the draft order:

suprmallet
killercannibal
sauce07
osiris3657
tarantino
mountainbiker
fist of doom
cardsfan111
cleaver
wishbone
minLshaw
adrenaline78
orangecrush
robodad
bobby shalom
groucho

The draft order was selected randomly via "drawing names out of a hat"

Here are the rules again:
Each person will have 24 hours to submit their selection. For this draft the subject matter is movie characters. As long as this character appeared in a big screen feature, it's all good. Any era, etc. If a character has been played by multiple actors (James Bond, Batman, etc), you will have chosen the character and their entire filmography, not just say, Sean Connery in Dr. No. You can make your selections however you see fit: They don't have to be the star of the movie, they can be supporting characters as well. Personal favorites and/or classic characters you know people will vote for, it's your call.

The draft will go 10 rounds (10 characters) and will start at the beginning of the draft order for round 1 and at the end for round 2, etc. For example, at the end of round 1 the 16th person will make the final selection for that round as well as the first pick of the next round. This is so the people at the back of the draft don't get screwed. So groucho and suprmallet (after 1st round) will select twice each time they are up because they are both starting and ending a round.

I suggest you PM the person drafting after you so they will know for sure its their turn to pick. If a person doesn't make a selection in their allotted time, their turn is skipped and when they come up again they can select two characters.

Make your selections like this, please:

Character (actor/actress who played them, movie, release date)
and if you want, a picture

Alright the draft starts as soon as Suprmallet makes the 1st selection.

Re: DVDTalk draft game

OK, since I just got back from Lebowski Fest, my first choice seems clear:

Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski (Jeff Bridges, The Big Lebowski, 1998)

Re: DVDTalk draft game

Just a quick question. Can our characters be animated?? or do they have to be played by humans?

Re: DVDTalk draft game

Good choices so far, but man, I am WAY down on the list for this round (and my sympathies go out to Bobby and Groucho). But, on the bright side, I guess I'll be near the top for round two!

Given that last night's fest was in Los Angeles, I'd say you didn't miss much.

Ah. I thought it strange that I hadn't heard much about it yet. (Of course, I'm referring to "the real one" in Louisville.)
