Not a single grave joke?!

Just watched Stalag 17 last week. A classic role for which Graves has apparently been forgotten.

Always liked him.

It's a shame they went ahead and destroyed his character, but good for him for having absolutely nothing to do with it. They can never take that away from him.

He and his brother James Arness both had successful careers. I guess Peter's career was a little more varied, and James' career ran on a much longer show with a character that defined him.

Peter took his stepdad's last name so he would be thought of differently than James.

I've seen several obits online that mentioned it, so it hasn't been completely forgotten.

A third brother, Robert Brown, was also an actor. Probably most people would know him as Lazarus in the Star Trek episode "Alternative Factor".

Thanks Mr. Graves for all the memorable moments. I liked the 1988 Mission Impossible TV Series.

James Arness has a brief mention of his brother's passing on his website.

Today was Peter Graves' birthday, too.
