Homer:  How many of these guys are named Corey, anyway?
Lisa:  Eight.

Make that seven now.

He was a movie star, why wouldn't they? They already explained Farrah was better known as a TV star.

Re: Corey Haim dead at 38

Even more sad is that his death didn't even put him in the headlines of sites like CNN or MSNBC. MSNBC has a small snippet at the top under Entertainment Headlines. Unlike Brittany Murphy who's death promted the big red banners at the top as "breaking news". Very sad. I guess he's at peace now.

And I don't get why people were hot and bothered over Farrah Fawcett not being payed tribute at the Oscars. Wasn't everything she was in all television? I think she had a part in The Apostle though.

No real suprise. When I first heard he was found dead I assumed drug overdose. While I've heard his name many times, I don't think I've ever seen a movie with him in it.

She was in quite a few films, and Hollywood actively tried to push her as a movie star in the late 70's (Sunburn, Somebody Killed her Husband, Saturn 3...).

This is very sad - especially if you watched Two Coreys. You pretty much witnessed the approach to this ending first hand. Rest in peace, CH.

My favorite movies of his are Lucas and Dream a Little Dream...I'll probably do a double feature tonight in memoriam.

If you think back to their "prime", this is not the Corey you would have predicted for such an end. Obviously Haim had a totally addictive personality - I read that at one point he had ballooned to 300 pounds!

So sad ......

Wikipedia says she made about a dozen films over thirty years -- and that's including a Playboy video and a cameo appearance as someone's dream date. The only significant role I can think of is the sexy lab assistant in Logan's Run.

and Michael Jackson was well known because of "The Wiz?" They had time to repeat montages of people. Just add Farrah in for one second was too much trouble.

Oh, I agree with you. She should have been in there even more than Michael Jackson. I was just implying to Buttmunker that Corey would have just as much reason, if not more, to be mentioned in an Oscar memoriam for actors than Farrah. I see the Academy's point, but I don't necessarily agree with it, same as a lot of people.

He was most likely included for the Oscar winning song Ben.

Re: Corey Haim dead at 38

Wrong, Michael Jackson's song Ben was nominated for an Oscar. He deserved to be there more than someone who was never nominated.

BUT I agree Farrah should have been included, she was an Academy member I think.

Re: Corey Haim dead at 38

I did a couple shoots with Haim (one along with Feldman back in 2004), and you could tell the years of drug abuse had taken their toll. He was always super, super wired and unpredictable, but he was a really nice, sweet guy. And you could tell the two Coreys legitimately loved each other like brothers, it was kind of amazing to see their interplay with each other. Feldman must be absolutely crushed.

I'll always remember my interview with the two of them ended with both of them bumming a cigarette off me.

I saw on other sites people referring to him only as one of the Two Correy's but he was really good in the movie called Lucas with Charlie Sheen. Rent that one.

I believe she received several raves for her leading role in Extremities.

Lucas is one of my favorite 80's films. What a shame.
