Movies where villain is taken down by secondary character?
Can you think of any examples in a movie where the villain is taken out by a character other than the main hero? A good example would be the first Star Wars film.
I'm curious about finding some examples because one of the golden rules in screenwriting is that the hero should take out the villain. I was trying to think of some films where that was not the case.
Any good examples?

Sum of All Fears has the main villains all being taken down by people other than Jack Ryan.
In Jackie Brown, Ordell is shot by Ray Nicolette, not by Jackie or Max.

Road House - Ben Gazzara's character is taken out by the bar owner, not Patrick Swayze.
He also has a great line, which I'm paraphrasing, "This is our town, and don't you forget it!" just before he blasts his heart out with a shotgun.

To Live and Die in L.A. is the obvious pick here.
None of the main villains are taken out by Indiana Jones in any of the four movies.

Appaloosa depending if you consider the two leads on equal footing or not.

For Your Eyes Only. The bad guy is killed by Topol's character, whom had a vendetta against him and it made sense. I think it might one of the few Bond's where he doesn't take out the bad guy himself.
