You're not alone. I enjoyed it thoroughly as a rental and just got the Blu-ray too.

I'm a sucker for a good "small epic" like King Arthur or The 13th Warrior. You usually get to know the characters a bit better and there are some nice badass moments sprinkled throughout.

Liked this movie, noticed Fassbender in it and decided to watch. I thought it was a decent historical action flick
