Funniest Reason for Rating (MPAA)

We all have our favorite reasons the MPAA gives for rating a movie, but I found a new one that I think deserves a little attention:

Alice in Wonderland (2010)
Family Adventure BV 3/5/10 PG fantasy action/violence involving scary images and situations, and for a smoking caterpillar

This has to be, by far, the best rating reason ever.

"Anatomically incorrect puppet nudity" for Team America. Favorite ever.

lol or "scenes of peril", but I don't recall the film.

Whoops, and Google lead me to a previous thread as well:

Re: Funniest Reason for Rating (MPAA)

Mild peril is the reasoning on all three Ice Age films, I believe.

The winner has, and always will be Twister: Rated PG-13 for an intense depiction of very bad weather.

I always see these and forget to write them down or something, but there are some good ones here and there. Sphere or Contact was rated PG-13 for "science fiction" among other things. I also like how they'll invent a term and then forget about it, like Shaun of the Dead's "Zombie Violence", which I have yet to see on any other zombie movie.

I always remember the girl suffer movie Blue Crush was rated PG13 for "intense sports action, language, and a fight".

Is it possible that the filmmakers specifically requested that be put in, the matter-of-fact description being a subtle joke? Can that be done? Things like that and Team America make me wonder if it's intentional.

There's Something about Mary:

Rated R for strong comic sexual content, language, and a scene of sperm stuck in hair

When did the rating descriptions start getting so funny? I don't remember them always being like this.

THE SIXTH SENSE:
Rated PG-13 for intense thematic material, violent images, and a surprise ending showing that the protagonist is a ghost.

SEVEN:
Rated R for grisly afterviews of horrific and bizarre killings, for strong language, and a disturbing implication of a woman's decapitated head in a box.

not funny, but always thought it was strange that There Will Be Blood was rated R for "some violence". pretty weak.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's is baffling.

Rated PG for quirky situations, action and mild language

Quirky situations, really? Better just tag all Burton movies with that.

I'm waiting for "Rated NC-17 for constantly and explicitly showcasing the exposed vulvas and anuses of dozens of leading Hollywood actresses between the ages of eighteen and forty."

(I note that "vulvas" is not in my spell checker while "anuses" is.)

Flightplan Rated PG-13 for violence and some intense plot material.

I remember back in the old TDK thread someone said the MPAA would never rate a movie R for featuring disturbing images yet...

Dragon Head Rated R for some violence and disturbing images .

Re: Funniest Reason for Rating (MPAA)

The official reason for Team America is: Rated R for graphic crude and sexual humor, violent images and strong language - all involving puppets.

What's a "thematic element"?

Re: Funniest Reason for Rating (MPAA)

I liked the rating for XXX: Rated PG-13 for violence, non-stop action sequences, sensuality, drug content and language.

It sounds more like an ad than a rating.
