Some of these remakes are getting a bit ridiculous.

No. I refuse to believe this, even if the movie hits multiplexes.

I highly fucking doubt this. No fucking way. To even bring up it up is a joke.

Remake bad or flawed movies with good concepts. Leave those that got it right the first time alone.

Gotta say, while I really don't mind remakes at all anymore.....Jaws is one of the rare few flicks where not only does it NOT need to be remade because of how good it is....but also because the aged feel of the movie fits it perfectly.

Really would not want to see this one be remade - maybe if spielberg himself did it but even then...not really.

In my mind I imagine that flick that you see people post clips of all the time about that huge shark, just the worst cgi or greenscreen ever. Then I imagine Tracy Morgan screaming at it and I chuckle a little.

But, yeah, I hope this doesn't happen.

Considering all the terrible Jaws sequels that have already been made, would this really damage the name any further?

You could argue there have only been 2 bad Jaws sequels.

Jaws never needs to be remade, but we do need more sharksploitation flicks. I'm still waiting on Meg, dammit!

I think the original Jaws is just a masterpiece of a suspense/horror picture, although I guess that goes without saying.

That said, I also think Jaws 2 is really good, just in a different way. I look at it more as a popcorn action flick, and for what it is I like it a lot.

Why does it have to be a remake??? If they must do another one, just let it be another sequel. On a side note, I also enjoyed Jaws 2.

The worst remake I heard of was the Six Million Dollar Man as a comedy.

Nothing will touch the original.

But in the right hands, this could work. As long as someone wanted to pay serious homage.

If it's just something to take advantage of 3-D, forget it.

Why not just name it JAWS 5 in 3-D with Richard Dreyfuss playing an older Hooper visiting Amitty island with class of collage kids. This way you can have your girls gone wild topless scenes and the audiance will cheer as these drunken kids get eaten by a 30ft. great white.

They should name it Jaws 19.

Ironically, there has already been a Jaws 3D.

I will be first in line to see this if that is in the trailer.

I don't want to see a Jaws remake, but I would be all for some killer shark 3d action. Just make Deep Blue Sea 2: Bluer Sea and call it a day. I love the first Deep Blue Sea, completely unironically.

If he screams "GURKLE! GURKLE! GURKLE!" while the shark is swallowing someone, I will proclaim this movie to be THE GREATEST PIECE OF CINEMATIC ACHIEVEMENT OF ALL TIME.
