Favourite opening credits of last year?

Mine happen to be Watchmen and Zombieland.
Watchmen gave you a good idea of the backstory and placing of their world and history, pretty much like Zombieland.

Also both had great use of music.

Watchmen

It just tells a whole history spanning a wealth of years in 5 mins.

Up in the Air:

Does a good job representing the film as a whole with the imagery + Sharon Jones is great.

Watchmen. Even though I didn't think the rest of the movie was bad at all, it was awfully hard to follow up those credits.

Yeah. I mean, I loved the film but those credits were soooo good that it was really hard to top it.

I've gotta throw my hat into the Watchmen ring as well. Unfortunately the overall movie was not able to live up to the greatness of the credits.

Watchmen all the way. ZombieLand was really good too.

Yeah, I think Watchmen was the best imo but....Zombieland's had me getting all excited and laughing like crazy...

Spoiler:

But seriously, I'd have to agree with Watchmen and Zombieland as well. Definitely need to pick up both on Blu-ray

Watchmen

Probably the most memorable sequence in the whole film.

Up in the Air. Though I quite liked the opening credits for (500) Days of Summer (dual home video footages) and An Education, which had that great music.

Re: Favourite opening credits of last year?

I can't remember exactly if there were credits during the opening sequence of Antichrist, but if so that's the winner. If not, I'd have to say Zombieland, since it was the best part of the movie.

Up in the Air, Zombieland and Watchmen (only "great" part of the movie).

Add another vote for Watchmen to the list. Really fantastic work there.

Doesn't get any better than Watchmen or Zombieland.
