That said, if they were to do a fourth, I'd rather see it full of little pranks, as opposed to half-hearted bike/skateboard tricks.
oh thanks, now I FEEL really old.

in regards to the film though I thought it was okay, nowhere as good the first or second film. The 3D seemed wildly inconsistent, there were alot of scenes that one could watch minus the glasses, since the scene wasn't shot that way. I got to the theatre late, due to the theatre and online time being wrong, so I think I missed around fifteen minutes tops, will rent the bluray when it becomes available since it is nearly a given it will be an extended 'unrated' cut.

I feel like I have a pretty strong stomach, but drinking the sweat from the cellophane suit of that guy on the treadmill took me to the edge. I chose not to even look, but thinking of Steve-O wringing out the sweat from that ass crack and hearing him puke really got to me. Oh so funny, though.

Re: jackass 3D

according to this report, they shot so much footage that they might have enough for a 4th movie, without even having do film anything extra. hope that's true.

Bam said on Howard Stern that 3.5 is coming out in January and they're going to film some extra footage for it.

So we will see Jackass 3.5 at holiday season of 2011? Alright.
Spoiler:
See what I did there? That's a joke as Bam promised 2.5 right after the theatrical release of Number Two and we didn't get it until nearly a year after the film was released to DVD, just in time for Christmas.

if you read that article, you'd see that Paramount is considering not releasing 3.5 w/ the extra footage and maybe using that for a 4th installment.

The Dark Horizons piece is a little vague. If it goes to theaters, it will still be called Jackass 3.5; the only decision being made here is whether it will or won't go to theaters.

Re: jackass 3D

Saw it and loved it. For reasons that I don't entirely understand, I never saw Jackass: Number Two.

I thought this film was a blast and was completely OK with it not being entirely in 3D. If anything, it made the 3D scenes stand out more.

Did they just try one person and give up or was that the best they could do?
I was expecting them to pull the "Granddaughter" prank in front of a cop. Would've been funnier.

Re: jackass 3D

Caught this yesterday. I didn't necessarily want to see it in 3D, but that was the only showing at the time. Lots of moments had me rolling on the ground, but many also fell flat. By far, the worst was the sweatsuit cocktail. So revolting I wanted to puke. The shit volcano was a close second. I don't know how they get away with showing so much feces and penis, but I'm guessing since it isn't technically sexual, the MPAA lets it slide.

Definitely the weakest of the series. Shame.

Re: jackass 3D

I finally saw this, and while it's definitely weaker then the first two, it's still a lot of fun. I agree with that it starts off great and kind of sputters 2/3 of the way through until the Poo Cocktail bit. The stunt creativity is definitely showing it's weakness now, and the best ones are the ones they show in the trailer. Still, it's Jackass and the antics are still hilarious for the most part.

New info on Jackass 3.5
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/ente...vd-film-1.html
'Jackass 3D' sequel will be Internet shorts collected into digital, direct-to-DVD film

Jackass3D Paramount Pictures will release a digital sequel to its surprise hit "Jackass 3D," after weighing a full-blown theatrical release.

"Jackass 3.5" will launch in March as a series of short online videos, each less than 10-minutes in length and featuring a single over-the-top stunt by Johnny Knoxville and his crew. One or two videos per week will be released for a few months. By summer, Paramount will stitch the videos together into a full-length "film" of 80 or 90 minutes that will be released on digital platforms and DVD.

Paramount pushed a similar Internet release strategy in 2006 with "Jackass 2.5, " a sequel to the "Jackass 2" movie. After "Jackass 3D" had a surprisingly strong $50.4-million opening weekend at the box office, however, studio executives briefly considered turning "Jackass 3.5" into a traditional movie before ultimately adopting the Internet plan.

Most of the footage for "Jackass 3.5" was shot simultaneously with the segments used in the 3-D movie. However, Paramount also produced new scenes in Europe in October while the "Jackass" cast and crew, including Knoxville, Stephen "Steve-O" Glover and director Jeff Tremaine were promoting the feature film there.

"The content created by the Jackass team is ideal for digital distribution because it's a series of stunts that are then collected into long-form," said Paramount Digital Entertainment President Thomas Lesinski, who is overseeing the project.

Paramount spent several million dollars to make "Jackass 3.5," which is currently being edited and split into short segments. The studio plans to finalize a deal with a distributor such as Hulu or YouTube to premiere the short videos online starting in March with advertising support. Several days after they premiere, the videos will become available as paid downloads from Apple's iTunes and other digital stores.

Since "Jackass 2.5," Paramount has made several digital series that were subsequently collected into movie form, including the horror film "Circle of 8" and "LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers."

Re: jackass 3D

Ryan Dunn posted this picture on his twitter account last night:

And some time later, he was dead.

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died in a car crash in Pennsylvania early this morning ... TMZ has confirmed with Bam Margera's mother.

34-year-old Dunn appeared in all of the "Jackass" movies -- famously shoving a toy car into his rectum in the first flick back in 2002.

Dunn and an unidentified person both died in the crash which happened around 3 a.m. at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. It's unclear who was driving the car.

We're told the car caught fire in the crash -- and hours later, a tow truck was called to the scene to remove the charred wreckage.
