I think this movie might get some competition for its core audience with Olympus Has Fallen, which delivers bad ass action in spades.

Yeah. But is it doing business?

Cuz this film has a general audience as it's core money.

Joe has an established brand name, big budget, The Rock, and Tatum.

Honestly, I don't think Tatum will do a third one if Chu doesn't return. Chu and Tatum are friends in real life which is why he probably came back for a second outing. JGL and Tatum were the two most vocal about thinking the first one was a piece of shit.

The first film opened in early August with $54.7 million. With the additions of 3D, The Rock, Bruce Willis, the redesign of CC, and the rising popularity of Tatum, shouldn't this do better business?

Willis may have lost a lot of good will because of AGDTDH. It's common knowledge that Tatum is a bit player in this. All this really has going for it is the better costumes and the Rock. So it might do just as well as ROC or slightly better thanks to the 3D ticket sales. I'd say the odds are 50/50.

I'm going to say the average person or female Tatum fan isnt aware he is a bit player. I think his fans will be there.

Seriously? Except for the latest TV spot, all the other ads and trailers are notorious for Tatum being mostly absent. Even the first trailer spoiled
