It's pretty good. I redboxed it a few days ago on dvd. My Blu-ray copy comes in tomorrow. There's some really good shit in there and quite a few moments and lines that really stick with you (at least for me they did), and I've got the book coming.
The 2hr documentary on the making of the film is excellent. I'll be listening to the commentary next.
EDIT - It's already out. It came out this past Monday.

I love Cronenberg and I've seen some people whose taste I trust really enjoy it so I need to check this out.

Caught it on PPV. I enjoyed this movie a lot. It's a confined, dialogue driven movie. Don't expect anything big to happen. It was a joy to watch.

Also, Cronenberg does a commentary track, and he makes some of the best commentary tracks on the market.

I had to turn this one off after 30 minutes. I like Cronenberg's recent work and I knew going in this would be a dialogue driven movie. It just did nothing for me. I think part of it was just not wanting to watch Pattinson in this role anymore.

I can't say it was a great film, perhaps not even a good one, but man I found it a fascinating one...
I made my wife watch it with me. If she ever ends up with all my shit and I'm sleeping on a cot in a service porch of a rescue mission, this will be Exhibit A.

Also saw it with the wife today and she hated it. She can be hit or miss when it comes to Cronenberg. I am still absorbing it, lots of dialogue to analyze. The mood and some of the themes it touches upon are pure Cronenberg. There were parts that reminded me of Crash, Videodrome & eXistenZ. After Spider, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises & A Dangerous Method (which all I love) it is nice to see Cronenberg moving away a bit from the dramas and back to some of the themes that made me a fan of his in the 80's. If you are a fan there is alot to like here but it is not an easy film. Will be watching it again soon.

Since we're bringing wives into the mix: My wife caught it with four other friends after I saw it for review, and she actually liked it, but she also likes Cronenberg's films (at least two of the friends did not like it, though, but then those tend to the superficial). Oh, and she is not a Twilight fan. She keyed in on the scene with Samantha Morton as a favorite moment.

Seen it in theaters when it came out and after letting it digest I have to say it was just middle of the road for me.
I didn't love it and it's not in the Top 10 of what I seen this year but I did see some good moments and good dialogue within. Ultimately I think it was a bit of a mess, but a decent mess.

“Everybody is ten seconds away from being rich.”
I quite enjoyed it. I like dialogue driven movies and the scenes focusing on capitalism and economics were a lot of fun. I felt those had the most energy despite the scenes of actual action. Paul Giamatti was really good and fun too. In fact, I liked everyone's cameo scenes.
I guess my expectations had been so beaten down that I was able to find enjoyment in it.

Loved this. While Cronenberg is my favorite director, I was hot and cold on his last two films. This was a great return to form, and Pattinson impressed me. Need to read the book now.

Robert Pattinson: David Cronenberg invigorated my career
Robert Pattinson says 'Cosmopolis' director David Cronenberg gave him renewed belief in his talents as an actor.
Robert Pattinson has credited director David Cronenberg for restoring his confidence in his acting abilities.
The 27-year-old star shot to fame as vampire Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight Saga' franchise, but didn't feel like he was doing his job properly until he appeared in 2012 drama movie 'Cosmopolis' and Cronenberg convinced him he was a great talent.
He said: '''Cosmopolis' is the film of my career. Beforehand, I didn't consider myself to be an actor, even with 10 years of acting under my belt.
''I've always felt out of place. I doubt myself. David Cronenberg restored my belief in myself and changed the way I act and think about the industry.''
While Pattinson admits landing the lead role in the 'Twilight Saga' franchise was a ''blessing'', he often fears he has made the wrong decision by becoming a movie star.
The screen star - who is also a songwriter and musician - told French magazine Madam Figaro: ''When you're blessed with a phenomenon like 'Twilight', it's difficult to imagine being perceived in another way by the public.
''I thought I would never get out of it ... that kind of success can become a gilded cage. I know I've escaped a pivotal stage in my life.
''All the choices I make today will forever define my future. The pressure is huge, I'm constantly wondering, 'Have I made the right choice?' At the same time, I won't let fear take over.''

I thought Pattinson did a good job in Cosmopolis, especially since he had to carry the entire movie.

Second viewing of this tonight. Loved it even more than the first time. Definitely one of the best films of 2012.

Also agreed! This is where it fell in my top 10 of that year (and I went and bought the blu-ray, too, something I rarely do after seeing films in theaters):

I enjoyed it even though I feel like a lot of it went over my head.
