No problem!
I love this documentary. I think it's so cool how they even got footage of audience members back in 1975 leaving the theater all dazed and horrified.
The audience screams shown during Ben Gardner's corpse-reveal are hilarious!
This is def. a must see for anyone who was alive during its first run.

And keep in mind:
The original raft was set up by the special effects team to literally EXPLODE with red blood, and Jeffrey Vorhees (Alex Kitner) was supposed to time himself going down at the same time. (Outtake was shown in doc.)
But he couldn't get the timing right, so they wound up just having frog men pulling Alex down.

You would think Steven Spielberg would want to make a JAWS 5 with Richard Dryfuss.
And John Williams is getting up there in years and that would be a good way to end his career.

I enjoyed Crystal Skull and have no problem with these kinds of sequels.

Now I really want to see this documentary!!! If they're going into such detail over a deleted scene, then the rest of the project must be nirvana for JAWS fans!!! It reminds me about one or two websites I've come across over the years on the JAWS attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood (and the subsequent rides at the other Uni parks)!!! Having grown up in Southern California and being "traumatized" by JAWS as a child, the theme park attraction was a defining part of my life ... ha ha.
Jaws traumatized me too. The fact that a little kid gets eaten alive was ground-breaking for its time, and even to this day!
The fact that so many Generation X directors, like Bryan Singer, Kevin Smith, Eli Roth, were so affected by Jaws is probably testament to the fact that Jaws always stuck in their mind as kids growing up.

Speaking of being traumatized by JAWS, I can't let any of my arms or legs hang over the sides of my bed because I'm terrified JAWS will bite one of them off ... lol! The power of JAWS!

Sharks are one of the few living things that really creep me out. Even in video games (well most of them) I get a little nervous when there are sharks. I remember in Tomb Raider 2 there were sharks in the water. As far as the documentary goes I'm looking forward to seeing it after a couple of years of hearing about it.

didn't know where to put this exactly but this seemed like a good enough place:
JAWS: Memories from Martha’s Vineyard
JAWS: Memories from Martha’s Vineyard
The filming of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 megablockbuster JAWS is regarded as a landmark event in both the history of motion pictures and the quaint New England island of Martha’s Vineyard. The geographic isolation of the Island, located eight miles off the southeastern coast of Massachusetts, necessitated the hiring of hundreds of locals to work as actors and laborers and to assist with the production’s groundbreaking special effects. Among this virtual army of hometown participants were numerous professional and amateur photographers, each with full access to the production’s inner workings. Now, for the first time, their behind-the-scenes photographs and stories have been compiled into a treasure trove of JAWS rarities, a one-of-a-kind collection sure to please even the most die-hard JAWS aficionados. Included are interviews with JAWS Production Designer Joe Alves, Screenwriter Carl Gottlieb, Location Casting Director Shari Rhodes, and more—providing an unprecedented all-access pass to the creation of some of the most memorable and terrifying scenes in motion picture history.

So is there any new information on a DVD release of The Shark Is Still Working? Like others, I've been waiting years for this.

The same book is available in paperback without the DVD or the 1"x1" piece of the Orca, for $59.95
I would love to have this book, but $60 for a paperback is still too rich for my blood. After they exhaust their supply (which may take awhile at those prices and without a retail or larger e-tailer presence) I'm hopiing another publisher will pick the book up and release a more comparably priced mass market Hardcover. I think I paid under $40 after coupons and discounts for the Making Of Empire Strikes Back book from last year.

I would've opted for the paperback version as well but $60 for the cost of the book alone plus $30 for shipping (to Canada) is just way too much.

Is the DVD with it the documentary for which this thread was created?

I kind of figured as much... means I'll have another JAWS to add to the various HE versions I already have.

Unless I'm forgetting some obvious ones, Jaws is probably the last movie I'll upgrade to blu ray. I still have a ton of DVDs but they're not important enough to me to upgrade. Other than Jaws I've already upgraded all my favorites. Been waiting for this since I bought my first blu ray player.
