Need help with exploitation/kung fu...

Alright. A while ago I remember watching a clip or two for some old exploitation kung fu movie. I can't remember the title. The only thing I remember is part of the scene I was watching.

The main character kind of ran and jumped and soared through the air and onto the top of a hut. Soon after a battle broke out.

It was nothing over the top flying action like Crouching Tiger, etc. But it has a brief moment in the clip where he kinda soared and jumped on the roof. This stand out in anyone's head? Its definitely an older movie but was in color. prob. 70s. early 70s.

I also remember the title being a couple words.

something something something something....

Hope that helps. If anyone can help me, that would be great. I want to pick this movie up.

There's about a thousand kung fu movies where that happens. We'll need more than that.

I know..I'm like...I can think of so many films with that premise alone.

where did you see the clips? this might help in getting closer to a title. otherwise its like saying you saw a clip of soldiers with guns and it was some sort of war movie.

Saw the clip on youtube...

Ha ha, I figured there were most likely tons of exploitation films that do this. Dang.

I think it has a number in the title maybe? For some reason I can remember a number in the title? like a six or a nine? Maybe not.

Your description is so vague it could be one of thousands of films. If you can find the clip again that would help- hell, the poster or a commenter probably said what flick the clip was from.

Re: Need help with exploitation/kung fu...

Not sure if it was 5 deadly venoms. I scanned the movie on youtube, didn't see the part I was referring to.

I know it's really vague guys. Sorry about that. The only thing I can do is describe the part a little better.

It almost looks like rows of crop/trees that the main character jumps through. He like jumps and glides and jumps up to the roof. I can't remember if he is spying on a girl he likes perhaps or what... But I believe it breaks out into a fight shortly after this. I think he has a long sword at his waist. He only jumps once and glides. Dangit. I cant even remember how and why I found this clip. So I don't think I will find it again.

I'm gonna suggest SWORDSMAN II (1992), with Jet Li. There are definite elements of what you describe there in some of the action bits. It's a very good film anyway and I'm guessing you'd enjoy it.

The film I'm referring to is from the 70's. Not the 90's.

How do you know? Since you know so little else about the film.

Re: Need help with exploitation/kung fu...

Valid point, a lot of early 90s martial art flicks didn't look like they were far removed from the 70s.

Re: Need help with exploitation/kung fu...

Because I know... When I was buying exploitation cinema I somehow came across the title and looked it up on youtube. It's not a current, new age martial arts movie.
