This guy is a great character actor. He's been in many movies but is likely best known for his TV work.

Re: Guess That Movie by Screenshot "10"

This is a different character actor, one I always associate with a certain director (not the director of this film, however). The title of one of their movies can be seen in this thread.

In a moment, the results of this bitchslap.

If it weren't that the guy doesn't look like Lee Marvin I would've taken a stab that it's Point Blank, which we had here not long ago. The shots do ring a bell, though, and I'm thinking Giallo.

Definitely a genre film, but not giallo - although the presence of this actress might have hinted otherwise.

Re: Guess That Movie by Screenshot "10"

The director is likely best known for his work in the '70s, of which this movie is not an example.

This is loosely based on a book.

Let's get a better look at the actor in pic #2.

Re: Guess That Movie by Screenshot "10"

Here is another great character actor, whose name is misspelled twice on the back of this DVD. He and the actor in the first pic appeared on a hugely popular TV show in the '60s.

Is that a young Robert Webber? If so, I will guess Manon 70 but it's just from checking out his IMDB page. If it's not him, then never mind

That is indeed a young Robert Webber, but this is not Manon 70.

A remake/re-adaptation/re-imagining/re-whatever of this movie is currently in development.

Re: Guess That Movie by Screenshot "10"

I'll guess The Silencers (it's "loosely based on a book," and Victor Buono was in it and I'm guessing the "hugely popular TV show in the '60s" could be Batman). And Roger C. Carmel also played a Batman villain.

You got it.

That is the eye of Roger C. Carmel (Harry Mudd, Colonel Gumm) that opens the movie. Robert Webber (Blake Edwards' Revenge of the Pink Panther, S.O.B. and 10) engages in fisticuffs with Stella Stevens and is seen with Dean Martin as Matt Helm in pic #6. Phil Karlson would later direct Ben and Walking Tall in the '70s. Victor Buono (or, if you work in Columbia Tri-Star's proofreading department, "Victor Bruno") enjoys some egg foo young before plotting to take over the world in pic #7 and that's one of the opening credits strippers in pic #8. Here's another shot of lovely Daliah Lavi (The Whip and the Body), because skunk-haired girls send me:

Two rather generic shots to start things off.

Okay, I identified Plan 9 from an airplane shot in the last thread, but how the hell did you get that?

Well, looks like I got a lot of pictures for the random picture thread featuring people standing in front of Elvis.

I think all the tumblers just clicked into place ... B&W CinemaScope movies weren't made for very long (10 - 12 years if that with rare exceptions) so that narrowed the timeframe down, the airplane traveling from right to left suggested east to west travel, a shot of LA featuring the famous Capitol tower suggested the music business ... the first thing I though of was Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? but it isn't a 'Scope picture; JHR was the second. That being said, it was just a wild guess, I don't remember those shots at all

Go ahead and post them (in your confirmation post); some of the best shots to look at are ones you don't use at first because they're giveaways

and ... WILDCARD.

Good job. After thinking about it, I figured the Capitol Records building was probably a bigger clue than I wanted to drop in the first post.

I already posted a few in Other. http://forum.dvdtalk.com/9440463-post184.html

And here are some leftover Gas! shots from the other day. http://forum.dvdtalk.com/9437506-post111.html

ooops, kinda forgot about this..
No to the previous 2 guesses, they are the wrong decade.

The title character has been played in various films by 5 different actors, that I know of.
