If you have an English (British) accent, then it's pronounced like the Star Trek character. If you have an American/Canadian accent, it's like the soup. The French pronounciation is similar to the soup as well, but with a shorter "a" sound. I always roll my eyes at North American journalists who pronounce it the British way to sound more foreign and exotic, the same way how people pronounce Ralph Lauren as "LOR-ENN" instead of like the girl's name. He's American, people -- no need for the fancy pronounciation!
