Re: Comedy/Horror Tournament Round #1/Group #1
1. One poll at a time every two days like normal(1 Active/48 Hours)
2. Leaving the polls only open for 24 hours in Round #1, and starting one each day(1 Active/24 Hours)
3. Seperating Comedy and Horror and run one each day(2 Active Polls/48 Hours)
4. Leaving them combined and run one each day(2 Active Polls/48 hours)
What would people prefer?

Four options on that:

3. i would like them separate (but equal), but i don't think it is a big deal.
4. i don't think having two active (1 comedy, 1 horror) for 3 days or so is such a big deal. but overlapping would get confusing imo. i like to know when they end and then a new one will start up just right after.

I kind of like option #4. Starting a new one each day would get thru it a bit quicker. But then, I'm very impatient.
Agree with Scott that 24 hours would be a mistake. I feel like I live on this site, but still miss a day fairly often. How about 72 hours being open? With a new one starting each day?

Okay, how about this? Polls stay open for 48 hours. I start a new one each day. I seperate the tournies because it will get confusing for people which polls they voted in. If I go 72 hours and start one each day, that will be 3 active and that is too much.

The Great Outdoors? Really? I have to think any votes are from misplaced nostalgia for continuous pre-teen HBO airings. The first of many major disappointments from Aykroyd, Candy, & Hughes.

Match 1: Always enjoyed the M*A*S*H movie perhaps even more than the TV series. Not sure why.
Match 2: Abstain--not interested in either.
Match 3: Clue. The board game is one of just two that I actually enjoy playing (the other being Risk) and so I was eager to see the movie. There's plenty of room for a remake/update/reboot, but I enjoy what's there.
Match 4: See Match 2.
Match 5: Minor confession: I voted not forUsed Cars, which I've never seen, but rather against A Christmas Story. I hate that movie more than any other, including American Beauty. I know, voting out of spite isn't particularly fair or honest of me (or anyone else), but I just couldn't help myself.

Don't forget to fill out your prediction brackets. Just click the link in my sig, look for the predict it link, create an account, and fill out your bracket. The site itself will keep a leaderboard and update itself after I enter the winners each time.

Great Outdoors - I grew up watching the television version of M*A*S*H so by the time I saw the movie, it was kind of a letdown. I did have it's moments though. The Great Outdoors was watched many, many times growing up.
Clue - zany, zany movie. CtA is surely a classic, but Clue is just so out there, it gets the nod.
A Christmas Story - I haven't seen Used Cars, but come on, it's A Christmas Story!
I haven't seen most of the horror flicks, so I'm sitting out on those this round.
