Your favorite character in 1980's CADDYSHACK
There's a lot to like about Caddyshack, and I don't just mean Cindy Morgan's @#$# - this great ensemble film has many big stars - which one was your favorite in the film?
Myself, I am won over every time by Rodney's energy, one-line zingers (which were mostly improvised), and funny physique.

Without Judge Smails, there is no Caddyshack.

Impossible to answer. That's an extraordinary cast of characters.

The slow burn of Ted Knight's "Judge Smayles" is comic perfection. Anyone can play the "snob" to the more showy "slobs", but Knight turned his performance into one of maniacal, self-righteous genius.

I met Cindy Morgan a few years ago, she still looks great. She said they had no idea they were making such a classic comedy... they were all stoned the whole time.
And, yeah, I'm picking Lacey as my favorite!

My favorite comedy of alltime! This is too tough, so I am going to push
I will say to get Bill Murray, Ted Knight, Chevy Chase, and Rodney in one movie, all in their prime, and not having to worry about their egos and who is getting too many lines, is a miracle in itself!

Wow, this is a harder choice than every other "favorite" thread out there. Gotta go with Rodney, just thinking of him dancing on the green cracks me up.

Chevy Chase
Rodney Dangerfield makes me want to turn off the movie. The only reason I keep going is how brilliant everything else is.

Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield were unreal in their greatness. I can't believe they didn't have a scene together. They even threw in a scene just to have Chase and Murray together but not the other two?!?
