Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
I've no feeling against Smith as actor but I really want somebody else in it. If it is Smith, he's going to have to really amp up his skills to play Django..cuz that is a beaten character for sure.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
The true travesty of the trailer is not so much its size and extravagance (which is a Hollywood/movie star standard) but the fact that Smith probably doesn't/didn't even spend that much time in it.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
The most entertaining thing that happened when I saw the awful MIBII was the firecracker someone let off in the theater. But I have such deep affection for the first one that I'll give this chance. It thought it was a well cut, efficient trailer - especially that stinger at the end - and I guess the best thing I can say is that it didn't make me NOT want to see the movie.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
Got to love the fact that after a discussion about a trailer months ago, a new thread bump occurs...for a trailer!
Cause they're both, ya know, trailers. :) |
Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
I like the trailer (preview of the movie one). I just hope it's as fun as it looks.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
Brolin at the end looked great.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
This trailer is already better than MIB II. Looking forward to this.

Well, it certainly can't be any worse than part II. That trailer actually made it look decent.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
Doesn't look half bad. I'm kinda miffed that Jones is essentially a cameo. One of the worst things about the second one (aside from the script) is that it focused too much on Smith and we were therefore left without a straight man to react to Smith's goofy antics. Hopefully Brolin fills that void.

But based on this teaser, it looks like they may focus more on K, which is a good thing. I had a scary thought they might have tried to go back in time to when Will Smith was a kid and bring his own stupid kid into this movie.

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
On one hand we have a lame time travel plot, on the other hand while Tommy Lee Jones is likely to have a small role, he's being replaced by Josh Brolin.
I agree it will probably at least be better than MIB 2. |

Was this shot with 3D cameras or yet another post-conversion?

Re: "Men in Black" gearing up for third edition
I'm looking forward to it since I'm a fan of the franchise but the trailer didn't really do anything for me. Left me kind of like "eh".

Not a fan of this series and this just looks to be more of the same, though Josh Brolin is a nice addition to the cast.
