I'm all for it. The first one was one of my favorites when I was younger, the second was enjoyable too. I'd be on board for a third.

I say please no. MAke Bad Boys III instead. MIB has gotta be the lazest, most underwhelming set of bid budget films ever made. They are sloppy and done even feel like real films. The 2nd is so short is barely qualifies as one.

Enjoyed the original, but didn't care for the sequel. If they do another one I hope they find a fresh angle on it.

MIIB pretty much sucked, I only remember like 3 minutes of it. No thanks.

Only if Rosario comes back.

A lot of people hate 2 but I actually thought it was decent. I'd be interested if Will Smith is back.

Re: Men in Black III in development

There are exactly 2 things I liked about MIB II:
1. Rosario Dawson
2. The slightly amusing "Ballschinnian" gag

SO I hope if they spend another $200+ million on a 3rd film it will give me more than 2 things to enjoy about it.

2 might have been good, had it not been almost the exact same movie as the first.

MiB was awesome.

MiiB was absolutely terrible.

This film review was brought to you by the Commitee for Higher Learning, and by the letter P.

From "The Most Unnecessary Sequels" file.

MiB II was super disappointing because it suffered from Jurassic Park III syndrome - setting up a great final act and then just abruptly ending - it felt like too many cooks in the kitchen and really rushed to meet a release date. If they insist on doing a third, I hope they take greater care.

Re: Men in Black III in development

If this gets made, it's because Sony is looking for a franchise. Other than Spider-Man, we don't have one. The Bond rights have gone back to MGM. We're remaking/re-imaging past films (Last Dragon, Karate Kid). And stuff we tried to turn into a franchise fails (re: Hancock, xXx).

Other than Ghostbusters (which is taking 20 years to revisit), and a Venom spin-off, MIB is the only thing that has any potential.

I'll see it. I enjoyed both, although the first is clearly superior. But for sheer laughs, nothing beats the "stuck in the tubing" gag from the second.

My biggest gripe was that they set it up so that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones characters acted the same way as they did in the first movie.

I thought it was interesting when they were considering replacing TLJ with Vince Vaughn but then they didn't and MIB 2 blew hard. I'd rather have Bad Boys 3

Men in Black II was terrible. The first one is one of my all-time favorite films, and by far one of the best movies of the 90s. I'd love a third if it was done right.

God forbid any more MIB movies.

Hated MIB II. One of the few movies I saw in theatres where I wanted to walk out. I didn't though. But was thinking about it. Rare for me.

Though I thank MIB II for teaching me to watch movie trailers only once or twice. Because the MIB II trailers showed ALL of the funny scenes.

Actually I thought it was the other way around. Well, I guess they did act the same way but the comedy was a lot more forced. It seemed to be silly just to be silly rather then try to be more creative with the humor.

It really had that JPII feeling. Really cool part 1 that introduced a cool alternate universe with a majorly dissapointing sequel.

Re: Men in Black III in development

MIB II was so short that I couldn't really hate it. And I really liked the plot reveal at the end.

I actually enjoy all of Barry Sonefield's movies (Big Trouble, RV, even Wild Wild West). They're always light and breezy. There's something folksy and laid back about them. Funny, Adams Family and RV are probably about as deep and emotional and dramatic as his movies get.

As long as the same crew is back, I'll be looking forward to it. They wouldn't even have to have the same actors on board. They could float around to just about any MIB guys pretty easily. Actually, some new characters to follow would be fresh (maybe make J and K side characters ala Blade 3).

I didn't know that Hancock 'failed'. But I guess devilshalo would know. XXX's failed because they were barely enjoyable (they were alright, but I wasn't a fan of either and will probably never watch them again). I think that the first only made money because it was a 'hip' movie (which is already outdated), catered to the PG-13 weekend kids and some action junkies (like myself) who's really just hungry for a quality action flick.

I enjoyed part I even though that monster at the end looked kinda phoney and unrealistic (he looked slapped on).

Part II I could not get into.

Screw MIB III and bring back Martin Lawrence and Will Smith for Bad Boys III!

I like the franchise so I'm in.
