Re: The Proposal (Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds)
Fu$%$ing Ryan Reynolds, for some reason I hated him at the beginning of his career. I'm not sure if I watched Van Wilder, and if I watched it I won't admit it.
I watched Waiting, my wife rented it, I swear! So yeah, not the best presentation cards, but still I kinda hated him for no reason in particular. Real hate.
Then last year I rented Definitely Maybe and he was good, I thought it was a good movie, nothing spectacular but good. And then the step that crossed the point, he became engaged to Scarlett Johansson, and he became Man of the Year for me
So yeah, I may end up renting this movie.

Saw the trailer for this the other day. First thing I thought was "Didn't they already make this movie? It was called Green Card." Talk about not even trying anymore. Bullock's films suck now (not that most of them didn't suck plenty before) and Reynolds is wasting any talent he might have on crap like this.

What why? The cast is funny, the trailer was entertaining, I don't see anything wrong with this movie. I think the box office numbers will speak for itself too.

"When Betty White tells you to get her a coffee, you get her a f****** coffee! You ab-crunching jackass."
"Why don't you go and suck a hot c***? Yeah, that's right everybody! I told Betty White she can go and suck a hot c***!"
"Betty White? People know who Betty White is. Sandra Bullock? People know who Sandra Bullock is. We sell tickets. Nobody knows who you are...America's Sweetheart is going to f*** you up!!!"
LOL. This video is probably funnier than the movie itself.

Of course the box office will be good because lame romantic comedies are always successful. The trailer looks terrible. Why?, because it looks like 100 other movies we've seen before. Every time I see the trailer in the theater, I boo at the end and the audience always laughs and/or applauds.

IGN: Can you talk a bit more specifically about the two dramas?
REYNOLDS: One, I can't really talk about because it hasn't been announced yet. The other is a very Hitchcock-esque kind of suspense movie called Buried. I play a contractor – not a solider; more like a driver, really – for one of these firms like Blackwater. It's set in Iraq. In fact, this is how odd the movie is, I'm the only person in the movie.
IGN: As an actor, when you get a script like that, when you're carrying the whole movie…
REYNOLDS: A lot of Hitchcock movies were very experimental like that – playing with real-time, or location. This one takes place in a coffin.

So no follow-up from fernista? Yes I know everyone said it's predictable and bland but if it will get the wife naked afterward I'm all for spending the $16. I like Sandra Bullock and I know she likes Ryan Reynolds so doff that shirt young man and get the old lady hot for me!!

Re: The Proposal (Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds)
Saw this today. Only saw it cause i didnt have to pay and it was either this Ice Age 3 or Transformers 2 and me and girl got in free cause she works at the movie theater.
Anyways this was an absolute piece of boring shit! Easily the Worst movie i have seen this year. I'll admit i have a bias and hate that complaining bitching c-word Bullock but this movie I went in with very low expectation and still found it an excruciating experience.

^Seriously, you should have seen Transformers 2 - it meets at least one of your criteria (2+ hours) while the Proposal met none (PG, 100 minutes)... not even a laugh from Ryan Reynolds? I thought for an old chick, Sandy Bullock was looking really hot during that near nude scene.

Re: The Proposal (Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds)
Bullock did have a very sexy body i will say. And i did find the dog getting picked up by the eagle gag rather funny but mainly cause I know a person whose chihuahua was actually picked up off the ground and carried off by a big-ass bird like what happened in the movie.
And i may see Transformer 2 on Friday cause I have a free ticket to it but was 60 miles from the theater i chose to see it at (already printed the ticket and had to chose the theater for some reason.)
But still otherwise an absolute mess. Reynolds was given practically nothing to do and all the characters were very cliche and poorly written.

What gives? You're disappointing us. Even if it's free, you shouldn't have double standard on what you see in theaters.

Re: The Proposal (Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds)
Very true. Normally i wouldnt have watched this even if I was paid to see it. But i dragged this chick along with me to see Sex and the City last summer and didnt wanna be too much of a dick by saying i didnt wanna see this after the night we had. And she was leaning more toward Ice Age 3 so i chose the lesser of the 2 evils.

I saw this yesterday. A friend who just moved back to town invited me. It was a bit better than I expected it to be. I thought it was a better movie than Green Card. I loved Betty White in the movie.
