I have to wonder how well a movie trilogy about a bunch of rich assholes who throw tantrums because the little people just don't understand how fucking awesome they are will go over during a recession/depression.
The only way I can see Atlas Shrugged working as a movie at all is as something hyper-stylized and surreal like Brazil, though I don't think anyone dedicated enough to the book to get the movie made would necessarily get that and make a straight-faced adaption.
