44 Inch Chest(June 2009), Ian McShane described this as the 'sequel' to Sexy Beast
Ian McShane was on the Daily Show the other day, and among other things, said that he had completed filming of the 'sequel' to Sexy Beast. I hadn't heard anything about it, but after looking it up, it doesn't look like so much a sequel, as another film from the writers of Sexy Beast, with some of the same actors(though not playing the same roles). Too bad they can't bring back Ben Kingsley! But the cast does look good, with Ray Winstone, Tim Roth, Joanne Whaley, John Hurt, Tom Wilkinson, and of course, Ian McShane.
Opens in the UK in June.
Here's some more info on it here:

I like this excerpt from the Trivia section from that link you posted:
"In an interview with Empire magazine, McShane jokingly said that 44 Inch Chest will make Sexy Beast "Look like Mary Poppins!""
That has me interested thats for sure. Plus the cast is great...

Sounds good. Sexy Beast was tremendous fun, and Kingsley was absolutely terrifying. I hope they can find a capable replacement as the heavy. Perhaps Tim Roth?

The Stranglers "Peaches" was changed in an instant in my brain after watching that flick. I love that movie. Nice to hear of more from the same folks.

My kind of movie. What a flawless cast. About damn time McShane found a good film role.

OP said Tim Roth was to be in it, but I'm guessing Stephen Dillane is now in that part. Which suits me fine, I think he's a hell of an actor.

I didn't like Sexy Beast as much as others here. In fact, I saw it...forgot I saw it...rented it thinking I hadn't seen it....then while watching it...I realized I had already seen it.
That aside, I did like the gathering of talent in Sexy Beast film so I think I'd give a sequel a chance.

While I had a hard time understanding the dialouge....it's still slaps you across the fucking face to the point where most of the time you don't really care anyway because of how badass it is.

So... Was the title Extra Large/XL taken?

I think the OP inadvertently contains a casting spoiler, based on the trailer.

So what did everyone think of this? I thought it was very anti-climactic &...boring. I've never seen Sexy Beast, but had always wanted to...now I'm having second thoughts.

No, Sexy Beast was better than this. I was sadly disappointed, I really wanted it to be as edgy and good as Beast. So give Beast a try, it'll make up for this one.

This movie was too "stagey". Just felt like a play up on the big screen. Good performances, but you will never have the urge to see it again. "Sexy Beast" is NOTHING like this film. You must see it.
