re: Natasha Richardson dies at 45
OMG This is going tooo far! There are numerous news stories and they all say totally different things, one she is dead, 2 brain dead, 3 nothing serious and she is just fine. WTF?! I won't believe anything esepcially about her dying until it is officially announced by Yahoo as they are the Associated Press. All Yahoo has said was that she was in the accident and now she is fine so until they say something more then I won't believe it.

Wow, what a rollercoaster. She seems like a charming and likeable lady, and this would be a terrible thing to happen to anyone. Hope she is ok irregardless.
Those "news" sites should stick to reporting on the dozens of other actors/actresses that are actually brain dead!

Okay, now she's on a flight to the US:

(so much for socialized medicine

The reuters story actually makes more sense. The fact that she was physically able to walk back to her room after the fall before she started to feel unwell makes it not sound as bad. I think the whole Brain Dead stuff is a bunch of garbage.

If Natasha is okay (or not seriously injured), I hope Liam goes all "Rob Roy" on some of these news sites/publications for their outrageous reporting. Remember the good ol' days where if you didn't have two independent sources, you couldn't run a story?

This is some of the most retarded reporting ever.

Head injuries are tricky. If she was suffering from internal bleeding, she may have acted normally at first and not realized anything was wrong. But if the bleeding wasn't diagnosed and treated quickly, severe brain damage is not out of the question.

The reporting on this accident has been downright ridiculous. Noone can seem to report credible information. FOX News is now reporting she's Brain Dead and flying home to New York to be taken off Life Support.

At this point, I believe that she is brain dead and being flown back to be taken off life support so her family and friends are around. Such a sad story.

The sloppiest reporting was from Time Out New York, which is an entertainment and travel/nightclub/restaurant guide, not a newspaper. Whether the other reports were sloppy or not remain to be seen.

Here's one from Fox News, doesn't look good at all.
Damn
Sources: Natasha Richardson Brain Dead After Ski Accident:
Sources close to Tony-award winning actress Natasha Richardson tell FOXNews.com that the 45-year-old actress is brain dead, and being transported back to New York City before she is to be taken off life support.
Richardson's condition deteriorated following a skiing accident on Monday on a beginner's trail at the Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec, Canada.
A spokeswoman for Montreal's Sacré-Coeur hospital, where Richardson was transferred after being sent initially to nearby Centre Hospitalier Laurentien in Ste-Agathe, said a family representative was expected to release a statement Wednesday.
The Toronto Star said one of their reporters witnessed Richardson, heavily wrapped in blankets, "in an intensive-care bed, tubes covering her face," as she was put into ambulance in Montreal shortly after noon.
The Star said her husband, actor Liam Neeson, was crouched down inside the back of the ambulance, and "looked extremely worried."
Richardson was first reported in serious condition with a head injury by multiple outlets early Tuesday.
"We know that she has had an accident but we really do not know any more details," said Kika Markham, who is married to Richardson's uncle, Corin Redgrave. "We are very concerned."
Neeson left the set of a movie he was filming in Toronto to be by his wife's side. "Liam Neeson left the Toronto set immediately to fly to Montreal upon news of his wife’s accident," a rep for his film said in a statement to Canadian TV. "We do not have any details at this time but we hope for the best and our thoughts and prayers are with Natasha and Liam and their family."
Neeson's reps told FOXNews.com they had "no information at this time regarding this matter." Mont Tremblant said Richardson fell on a beginner's trail during a ski lesson and later reported not feeling well. She was not wearing a helmet, nor was one required, they said.
"She did not show any visible sign of injury, but the ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor," said a statement from the resort.
Mont Tremblant spokeswoman Catherine Lacasse said Richardson was getting a private lesson and that she said she was fine at first. "An hour later she said she didn't feel well. She had a headache, so we sent her to the hospital," Lacasse said. "There were no signs of impact and no blood, nothing."
Richardson, is the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and the late director Tony Richardson. She married Neeson in 1994 after they both appeared in the film "Nell." The couple have two sons.
In January, Richardson and her mother played the roles of mother and daughter in a one-night benefit concert version of "A Little Night Music," in New York.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
