Even with my expectations as low as they are, that trailer sucked. It just had such a cheesy feel to it. And Will Smith sounded like he was rolling his eyes when he had to utter that "Suicide Squad" line. As for Robbie as Harley, blech. I didn't care much for Leto either. He didn't seem creepy or menacing. He just looked like some douchebag that's overcompensating with all his "adornments". I can't believe I was originally excited when I heard he was cast as the Joker.

Honestly I think Robbie is attractive but I don't drool over her like most in this thread seem to. Her Harley doesn't seem like anything special to me and she seems more just like a deranged punk chick. I know she has that look in some of the comics but I'd much prefer a more classic looking Harley.

The problem with Robbie lookswise is that I was already hot for her when she was called Jamie Presley. Her look is nothing new or special.

As for her Harley, you summed it up to a tee. She just looks too damn generic. But generic is also the vibe I get from that trailer. (Except for Leto's Joker that simply screams overcompensation.)

Harley's classic court jester appearance would look campy in live action. I prefer the way she looked in the Arkham video games.

You never know until its tried. There have been a lot of great outfits inspired by classic comic looks. Some things may need to be modified (particularly her jester hat) but I think it could be pulled off.

When did he become a top notch actor that this is below him? I have a feeling that he is only doing this , so his hack wife and hack son could get something in the DC world. Once she was announced to be in Gotham, I knew he would be doing a movie.

I'll wait until I've seen everything in proper quality to comment either way on that, but the general attitude and direction of the trailer was better than expected. Not great, but there's potential there.

Agreed. I liked what I saw. Can't wait to check it out (the official version) in HD. Not sure when that will happen, though. Some speculate it could be placed in front of Man from UNCLE.

Didn't care much for the leaked trailer, at least compared to the other things we've seen like Batman v Superman or Deadpool. Hoping for a better quality or official release, but nothing particularly exciting to me.

It's just a first look but what I see there looks alright. Nothing heavy enough to criticize aside from some visual aesthetic. You can hear a bit of Robbie's voice and it's not like how we know Harley Quinn... and there's nothing wrong w/ that but I think all visual media interpretations of HQ has had "that" voice of hers, no? Her attitude seems to be right but again.. not much to really hit on.

We'll need a full on theatrical trailer to get the needed impact they want cuz this is just a tease.

It is nice that Ayer hasn't fallen down the visual spectrum of colors that Snyder uses. It's tweaked but not manipulated as wildly to where it's battered in. So that's pretty badass if not totally refreshing.

The leaked trailer looked like shit. The official trailer looks like high-def shit. Who the fuck was the writer for this? Say what you will about David Goyer but the dialogue in this made him seem like Shakespeare by comparison.

And I get that the Joker has metal in his mouth but he sounds so fucking stupid talking through it.

I never saw End of Watch and don't remember anything from Training Day other than the King Kong line. Based on Fury and Sabotage, the guy is a mediocre writer.
