Do Trailers/Movie Posters get awarded annually?

I can't seem to recall if I've asked this in the past, but are there annual awards given to the artists/editors that create film merchandise-teaser-trailers?

Thats a good idea, if they don't already. I have seen some real topnotch trailers that deserve some praise, as well as some duds.

Whoever cut the trailer for The Unborn deserves an award for fooling me into paying to see that piece of shit.

Another example of where you could've know it was gonna suck based off the MPAA rating and runtime.

The poster is what did me in.

Oh well, at least I got to see Odette Yustman's camel toe on a really big screen.

Runtime? Hey, I'm not chris_sc77... As for the rating, I've seen good PG-13 horror films before. It's happened. I swear.

Re: Do Trailers/Movie Posters get awarded annually?

http://www.impawards.com/index.html This site is dedicated exclusively to posters. They've got a variety of categories in which they judge posters, from taglines to composition, and in various genres. I don't know that the "awards" go beyond being named the #1 in whatever field they decide on the site, but it's nearly addictive to go back through the last few years and see what they nominated and awarded. The archives include a lot of older films, but it's hardly comprehensive; posters that have come out since they started the site are well represented, though.
