I'm not crazy about the name but it looks like it could be decent.

Has potential. But I'll wait for a full trailer before I get the least bit excited.

Yeah but he got in good shape for that crappy mistery/thriller he did with Samuel L. Jackson and he didn't look too bad in The Punisher. Here he looks like he ate Vic Mackey.

I liked "Taken", didn't really care that much for "District B13" but I guess I'll give it a shot, even if Travolta is trying to emulate the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

This won't be released stateside for a while. From Cinema Blend:
John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers have been making an unlikely action team as they film From Paris With Love in France. Now Lionsgate has guaranteed that we Americans will get to see what on earth is going on here. The studio has picked up distribution rights to the next film by Taken director Pierre Morel, and plans to release it next year, on February 19.
The THR article doesn't explain why they're waiting so long to release a movie that's already finished, except maybe that Taken opened ridiculously well at the same time of year. In the film Rhys Meyers plays an intelligence operative partnered with an American agent, played by Travolta, to stop a terrorist attack in France.

after District B13 and Taken, i would see mice farting on screen if they were directed by Morel and written by Besson.

You liked those that much? Taken and District B13 were enjoyable action films for sure but not really worthy of a lifetime pass for the Morel/Besson combo.

I enjoyed those two movies enough to keep Morel on my "to watch" list. Admittingly though, I've never seen his movies in theaters and always felt they were Straight-to-Video level in terms of movie quality (weak plot, weak characterization, corny dialogue), but man are they entertaining.

hey, with that trailer being a red band, that must mean that lions gate won't cut the hell out of it to make it PG-13

New Trailer looks good (though you could make a drinking game out of how many times Rhys Meyers says "Wax" in the 2 minute trailer).
I'll definitely check it out. I'm a sucker for "Ass kicking across Europe" movies!

Re: From Paris With Love (Morel, 2009): Travolta in action/thriller
Finally saw the trailer for this one a couple weeks ago attached to something. Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Travolta is def in full-on ass-kicking mode. I dug what Morel did with Taken, so I'm hoping this will be just as much fun.
