Anybody seen this? I never saw the second, but apparently there are linkages between all 3. I figured the other two were just sequels in name. It was on the Watch Now through Netflix so I figured I'd give it a watch since I enjoyed the original.

I believe this was direct to dvd. I thought the production was pretty good and the characters well cast. I know the ending is probably self evident, but I felt like the plot for the characters was forced. I can't help but feel they filmed a couple of different endings. I had the feeling throughout that they were headed somewhere, but they half heartedly changed their minds throughout.

EDIT: Scratch that - made for TV. ABC Family channel actually - I thought some of the exterior shots were from Grey's.

"The Cutting Edge" is one of my guilty pleasures but I just can't get myself to watch CE II and CE III.

I agree with regard to CE. I'd also agree with CE II and III, but it really was on a lark I watched it. Plus I didn't actually have the dvd sent to me. However, I now find myself oddly wanting to watch II.

Yep. As a matter of fact, there was a thread here when it was announced and many original CE fans here were kinda surprised.



Ok, well perhaps based on your recommendation I'll check them out.

I tried to watch CE2 when it premiered on ABC Family, but it just felt like a lifeless retread. If they had managed to bring back Moira Kelly and D. B. Sweeney as the parents I probably could have overlooked its faults.

Yeah, I read up on II and that appears to be one of the biggest complaints. I find it odd that they didn't come back either. I believe Moria was (is?) working on One Tree Hill, but I'm pretty sure Sweeney isn't doing much work these days.
